Our office receptionist has been getting the signs of diabetes (thirsty, going to the loo a lot, blurred vision, headaches, tiredness) for the last week, and she has a history in the family. I am concerned, both as a friend, and as one of the company First Aiders. How quickly should she be getting to a dr (she "doesn't want to make a fuss"), and, more importantly, how long, if she leaves it, would it be before something major happens?

cause i do want some nurse injecting him with stuff he doesnt have ...he took a hiv test a month ago and he's been having some red spots on his face, mild sore throat , he has an anxiety like s*** he is so frustrated he took a p24 antigen and a normal antibody test at 33 days . i think he's okay because the girl who he f***** doesnt have any diseases she got checked as well with pcr i need some advice

i am diabetic and have been using lilly lente u100 rDNA origin zinc suspension, and it has been okay for me. Now the production will be discontinued by the manufacturers. I am worried over a good replacement. I would like to know which other insulin, with the same properties as Lente humulin that will be equally okay for my use, and readily available in the market. I am in Africa, though i have contacts in the US that can procure the products for me, but not before i tell them exactly what i want them to buy for me.
Is Lilly the only manufacturer that produces humulin insulin? which other manufacturers does, and what is the name of their product that can easily fit into the class of the one that Lilly is phasing out. Better still, is there another product from Lilly that is the same with the one that is being discontinued. I have been diabetic since 10 years now and i am 40 years old. wise me up please.

I kept getting sick at work. I would feel like I was going to throw up alot.My legs would feel like they were going to give in and I might fall.I could not think straight, I was forgetting things, drawing blanks when asked a question.I was limping alot because my right leg was hurting beside my knee on a vein that bulging out.I went to the doctor and then to a vein specialist who said I had abnormal blood flow.My oneway valves were not closing and the blood was pooling back down in my legs.I had surgery on both legs thinking I would be ok within 6 weeks.I am not ok.My legs hurt all the time.Standing or sitting , I cannot do either for very long.Sometimes my legs feel like they are not attached to my body.I have trouble getting to sleep, I have to keep moving proping them unproping them.I finally go to sleep when I am so exhausted that I finally go to sleep anyway.I need to go back to work but don't know what kind of work I can commit to.I stay sick alot still.

i'm about 5'4" and weigh 95/96 lbs. i have severe depression i dont like to do anything like when my fam goes out to do something, i dont go anymore. & when my mom makes meals i never eat them because i think they are too fattening. my older sister makes fun of me saying i'm anorexic. I use to be 130 lbs and overweight. a few people at school and my brother would say i'm fat and ugly so i decided to loose some weight & people started complimenting on how much weight i lost so i just started loosing more. i think i took it to far. i never realized how skinny i got until one day i went swimming and i was in the bathroom with my bathing suit on i looked in the mirror and i couldnt believe how gross i looked... i cant gain weight its too hard for me. & i'm always crying over stupid stuff feeling sorry for myself. and i have such a low self esteem. i dont starve myself but i eat really small meals. Is this anorexia?? please help! thx

If its what I think it is I think I may need it b/c I always haave a very high BSL. Even nowe it is 16.2 and why are the amounts Im reading different from mine.E.G Ive been reading where levels are in triple figures and numbers like 700 and 680, but my glucometer readings are just in the teens ie 16.5...Is the readings different from country to country I live in Australia.......Maybe Im just not understanding my diabetes too well

I am adopting a 2 child of 3 yrs with hiv. I sleep with them. They sweat a lot. they have small wounds in their hands. I bathe them also. They cough a lot. We eat in same kitchen. We use same toilets. do i have to use sleeper and sandals in toilet or i can walk with naked hands? Please email me as sson as possible. 2 weeks before my friends 26th birthday, she suffered a MASSIVE brainstem stroke. After 3 months in the hospital, she came out, unable to walk or speak clearly, but 100% the same person inside. She is doing much better as far as talking and moving (she is paralized on her right side), but she is severely depressed. The hospital had her on anti-depressents, but took her off of them, and according to her mother she doesn't feel like her speech is good enough to go to therapy (the therapy and meds were my suggestion). I feel horrible for her, obviously for what happened, but mostly for the fact that I absolutely cannot fathom not being able to walk freely, or say what is on her mind. It is heartbreaking. So my question is.....what can I do to help her feel better about herself? When she is not in physical therapy, she sits on a recliner and watches TV. Her mom is single and has to work long hours and all of her friends have jobs and school, etc. Please help me think of something....

I was just diagnosed with Lupus, I have a history of Ovarian cancer and have had a full hysterectomy in 04. About six months after my hysterectomy I was diagnosed with LUpus. The problem is I don't know what it is. I get stiff and puffy and my joints are hard to move, but my doctor doesn't go into great detail of what this disease does. All they have done is put me on predsnisone, and draw my blood every once in a while. I have had recent symptoms that are new life blurry vision, headache anf REAL stiff joints.......help me, I don't know where to go
