Poor hygiene. Keep it clean and dry. As posted above, fungal infections are not uncommon. Use any anti-fungal product for a couple of days. If it doesn't go away in a few, see a doc.

Fissure in ano can be caused by infestation with worms "Enterobius vermicularis".It is auto spread.It causes intense itching at anus.Scratching and using the same finger for eating perpetuates the condition.It is cured by Piperazine.
