Did you know that Sleep Apnea is a serious and deadly disease which affects many Americans who aren't even aware of it? The symptoms include snoring, daytime drowsiness/sleepiness, cessation of breathing during sleep, night sweats, morning headaches, loss of concentration and many others. I have lost two friends in the past two years to Sleep Apnea. Both were diagnosed and refused to use their CPAP machines. I was diagnosed in 2000 and use a CPAP every time I sleep.

When they first came, they were intense maybe 2 every 14d. My doc put me on various meds and finally settled on topamax 200mg. They gradually tapped down to 1 every month or so. But again lately, they have become intense once again and the topamax is not longer working. My doc wants to but me on depakote but I'm really afraid, bc I have always thought it was for bi-polar conditions. I have tried several other Rx's with very little success, he thinks the depakote will work. Has anyone heard of this, and does it work. I am 43yr and I know that it's mainly a hormonal issue with my headaches.

I have discovered bumps on my genital about 1 1/2 months ago, a few days later I had a blister on my finger thats was 100% clear fluid filled with a little white ball in the middle, I went to the Doctors, they said it dident look like herpes, tested me for everything, HSV1/2 IGg showed (negative) the doctor said I was good, now my lips have been burning in certain areas w/ very slight swelling, and my eye has been hurting pretty bad, Im extremly scared that I have passed this around to all these parts of my body if I have anything. Someone tell me if it sounds like anything please., I dont know what to do, im in the military, my doctors arnt like most. What do I do?

My Mother has advancing Parkinson's disease and has been given several alternate drugs to control the shaking.
The drugs have worked in some cases, but the side effects are always too bad for her to continue taking them. The doctors don't seem to be able to help her with this.
Has aniyone else been thru this and found a solution....either a new drug...or an alternate therapy....or even a drug that helps curb the side effects (usually she becomes very lethargic or too tired and sleeps all day) Any help or siggestions would be greatly appreciated...
I should add that she is not willing to have surgery to implant a device that may help the problem with electrical impulses.

My nephew has cerebral palsy. He recently went on a trip, where there was a lot of woodland, when he came back his lips and face were blue, since then he has been in hospital for over a week. He has lung disease, he had a biopsy on his lung and it came back saying that he has some sort of disease linked with bats! He has not been bitten, so rabies may be wiped out, he is on a respitory machine in and has been heavily sedated. He has a very low immune system. Fungal infection has also been diagnosed. Can someone please shed any light or send links etc. THX DESPERATE!!!

I have shingles of the face--I've posted a couple of times--thanks for the help on those. Can I take a sleeping pill--Ambien----and the meds for shingles? I take Valtrex, Neurontin and a salve in my eye. Also for hbp, diovan, toprol, and hctz. I've developed such burning pain in my neck, shoulder and arm, and a real problem with my eye, feeling like it has something in it which is driving me crazy!
I saw the opth/ and corneal specialist today. Have drops and was told it's only slightly inflamed and only on the outside white area, not on the front and that's good so far.
Tell me this will get better. They seem to think it will, but it takes time. I see the opth again next week. Didn't sleep much last night. Oh, they also prescribed a creme for the pain on my face, neck and arms and it's not available at several stores around,so won't get it until MOnday. So frustrated. thanks

I usually wear a sheepskin condom or cut off the end of a freshly picked lemon from my farm to use as a cervical cap. Just curious if i should go rawdogg cause I think Bessie may have cheated on me with one of our horses while I was at the International Lawn Mower Racing Championship in Istanbul.

This is a stinging, stabbing, percing pain that seems to travel from one section to another. I get this about five times a year. Sometimes it pretty bad and Im on the floor in pain.
Pain starts in chest below right pecktoral, under ribcage, then travels quickly to right side of the backunder shoulderblade, and quickly to the rear of the right jawbone. This is a stinging, piercing, zapping kind of pain. Moments later, spreads to mid back and larger region in the right chest, more painful and throbbing.
