Triglyceride is building block of fats. I don't get it why your total cholesterol is low but you have incresed trigly. Very low HDL ( the good cholesterol ) is already bad beacuse it means you are storing fats in your body.Could be on the arteries or part of your heart. Better, go to your doctor and get some medicines to help your heart and metabolize fats through lots of exercise. Diet is a good thing...choosing the right food is the best thing to avoid increasing your fats again. hope this helps.God bless! ;0

judging by your high triglycerides and high LDL, i would say its time to start watching what you eat - cutting out junk food, greasy/fried foods etc...your HDL (good cholesterol) should be higher, because this is the type that prevents your cardiac arteries from narrowing, and from getting plaque buildup. LDL is the bad cholesterol, and is the type that actually does the clogging. some people are genetically predispositioned to have high cholesterol no matter how they eat or how often they work out...in this case, go to your dr. and get some lipitor or other lowering medication. otherwise try changing your diet and working out regularly, trying to get those numbers down.

Clean up your diet. If you have a low total cholesterol level- ie. under 150- and have high triglycerides, you have a poor diet. Eliminate all sugar and lose any weight if you are heavy.

What is your age? You need to watch your cholesterol a little bit! Avoid red meat and the whole thing drops! The remaining values are ok!! For insurance purpose you should have fast 24 hrs before drwaing blood, the values would be better and your premium would be lower too!!

You should probably repeat the test first, making sure that you have fasted for 12 hours. If it's still abnormal, determine your overall heart attack risk, which depends also on your age, gender, family history of heart attack, smoking, presence of diabetes, high blood pressure, and existing heart disease. Risk calculators can be found here:

If your 10-year heart attack risk is 10% or greater, you should see your doctor. She can examine you for signs of existing heart disease and advise you about treatment with diet, exercise and medication.
