I was at the dentisat a few days ago for a root canal. The dentist took some x_rays and came back to say that I have a Curved root I think. He sat and tried to get the pin thing in my tooth for a good 20 minutes. He took it out and said I can't get past this twisted root. He sent me to a specialist and now I'm Kind of wondering if since the first profesional couldn't do it then what says a different one can? Is a specialist a flook too? He cost about twice as much as the first guy and I was wondering if any dentists out there can Give there opinion.

Is it normal for an 8 year old to need a crown? Our pediatric dentist informed us that my daughter needs one and I' feeling like she is so young for that. AND it is not a permanent tooth.

My husband needs dental work in the Ohio area.... Is there anyone who knows of any dentists, charity offers or any type of assistance out there that can be of help to us? We don't have insurance and although I have tried to familiarize myself with the medicaid dental for adults in the state of Ohio, it's very confusing and of course frustrating.......All comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks

She is 3 years old, so this is of course a primary tooth (the left upper front tooth). She fell and hit her tooth on the wood floor. It bled a very little bit at the gum line, and she was comforted by holding an ice pack to her mouth. She cried for quite some time afterward, and needed ibuprofen the next morning for pain. I really haven't thought about it since, but just tonight I noticed when she laughed that it's a little bluish-gray. I guess I should get her to a dentist...???

I am rather self consious, so I really wouldn't want a crown in the front of my mouth. And, how do you really know when you have a cavity, since my tooth has been hurting on/off. I have braces as well, but they were tightened about a month ago.

I have 1 implant on the lower right side, second from last tooth. My lower teeth are way out of line with major crowding in the front. Upper teeth are not too bad and can probably be realigned with very little work. Can I wear braces now that I have an implant?

The tooth was infected.
The tooth was broken off and the rest was inside my gums.
I have MOTRIN for the pain but doesn't seem to be working.
It wont stop bleeding, but I keep gauze on it.
