what is a root canal and does it hurt? im getting one today and i dont know what to expect. i was supposed to get it a few months ago but my dentist said it wasnt big enough or something so they put some medicine in my mouth to make it bigger. now theyre goin to finish it! should i be nervous.

For no reason my teeth are yellow!
they`re straight & i like them except that for no reason at all they`re yellow .. ugh.
i don`t even drink coffee or tea or whatever.
what should i do? [to make them white :]

I just got a retainer about 10 min. ago from the dentist. It's one of those ones you have to wear ALL THE TIME (except when you're eating). I practically burst into tears when I saw my teeth with it on. IT IS HORRID!!!! What do i do? I've already tried asking my dentist if there are any that are less noticeable. HELP! I'm miserable!!!!!

I have an appt. to get two more wisdom teeth surgically removed. I had one removed at the end of last year. Since I was out of dental insurance (Delta) money, medical insurance (medica) covered 80%, and paid the surgeon considerably less than what the initial bill was which made my 20% less which was nice. I have not used any dental insurance money this year, so I am concerned that the surgeon will bill Delta first and I will get stuck with bigger bill since it seems like dental insurance isn't as tough as medical ins. is on restricting what a surgeon can bill a patient. Anyone have experience on this? Should I delay extraction to the end of the year given their is not immediate problem so that I have some dental money left for cleanings and other issues?

i guess this question seems a little out there, but there's a practical reason; i'm not that strong, i'm young, fairly attractive, white (more or less, half spanish) and i have no gang affiliation, which from what i understand would make me a prized possesion if i was ever in jail. there's no way i'm ever gonna submit to rape however, so i wanna be able bite a d**k clear off in the event one gets in the vicinity of my mouth. also on the topic of fighting tooth and nail (literally), would you be allowed to file your nails to a sharp point in jail?

I am due to have 3 of my front teeth veneered in a few months as i have slight staining... and to be honest although i have wanted them for a long time and know they would look so much better, im really bricking it!! Has anyone had these done and how painful is it, honestly???

Ok, I'm 12 and on my left side my second to farthest tooth hurt me reallllly badly, so I pulled it out (but it was allready lose, not much though) Do you think it is a grown-up tooth and I will need a fake one? Also my tooth next to it (3d back) hurts really bad when ever I touch it. Really bad! But I won't pull it out becuz I'm pretty dang shure it is a big thooth. Does any-one know what's wrong? On the front of my tongue I have like pimples, red ones, one next to each other. there are loads. They are not painful, and I have a little larger ones on the side of my tongue. what could be causing these? What are these? I was prescribed the cream Ad-Muc, and still using it.
