Here is a copy of an email I just got.

Peroxide
Safer and Healthier than Bleach

1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.
2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs.
3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.
4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.
5. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day.
6. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.
7. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, and then blow your nose into a tissue.
8. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
9. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the
50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through... You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change.
10. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus, or other skin infections.
11. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.
12. Use peroxide to clean your mirrors. There is no smearing.

peroxide has an agent that whitens teeth and color hair. i have a yellowish teeth and i'm very disappointed because i can't smile the way i want. i keep hiding those yellow marks there my mom suggest that i should use peroxideit help a little but it didn't get those yellowish marks in there. so i decided to buy over-the-counter whitening agent and finally those yellow spots are gone.

>if you really want a whiter teeth better use a whitening agent because peroxide can whiten teeth but only 2-3 shades lighter... u can't barely see the difference.

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.

Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

Acutually, peroxide will damage your gum tissue if used daily for more than 5 days. It will dry out your gum tissue. Not Good!

If you want to whiten your teeth cheaply, look in newspapers to see if any of your local dentist are offering any "bleaching specials". A reputable dentist will examine, x-ray, and clean your teeth first- to ensure that there is no decay nor gum disease.

At our office we insist that a patient have the fillings done first if the decay is bad. The bleaching product will cause sensitivity if there is severe decay or gum recession. Good Luck

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.

I'm not sure, but if you want to whiten your teeth try mixing peroixide and baking soda together and using it as a toothpaste. It really works.

It's safe to swish but DO NOT swallow any of it.

Using pure baking soda on your toothbrush will probably get you better results tho.

yes, it is safe. If you use it daily it will eventually whitten your teeth. Be sure NOT to ingest it. When you do use it make sure not to eat or drink anything other than water, if you want to see results.
