BEWARE of the toothpaste you are using! The outside layer of your teeth is enamel and it is a white-ish color. The next layer is called dentin and it is very yellow. Lots of people brush with an abrasive toothpaste only to find that their teeth get more yellow instead of white. What they are doing is brushing their enamel thinner and thinner until the yellow dentin shines through. Once this happens....all the brushing and whitening in the world won't help. Get a good gentle fluoride toothpaste like Listerine brand. DO NOT USE abrasive toothpastes!!!

Do you smoke? Does anyone in your family smoke? Smoking can turn your teeth yellow as well. Buy one of those Teeth Whitening Kits at the store. Crest works pretty well. If you don't like the results, see your dentist. They can do teeth whitening...usually around $200 - $300 that will last longer than the stuff you find in stores.

Hi,
It could be that your brushing your teeth too hard. If you brush your teeth too hard and have a hard toothbrush you wear away the enamel (white stuff) on your teeth.
If any of your teeth are starting to be in pain or a wiggly it may mean a nutrient deficiency. Maybe see a dentist.
I hope it isn't the enamel as that would be very expensive to get fixed!
good luck:-)

A dentist said to me, Whitening toothpaste only takes out stains like from coffee and foods you eat, she said to WHITEN your teeth you would have to get a whitening product like strips, or getting your teeth whitened professionally!

Get some denture toothpaste. It wont hurt your teeth. It has just enough peroxide in it to remove stain from caps, and your real teeth. Just use it like once a week. It really does work!!

I love Crest Whitestrips - I found that they make a marked difference! There are other (more expensive) options such as BriteSmile or having your dentist do a whitening treatment for you as well.
