Ad-Muc is an ointment that is prescribed for Stomatitis and gingivostomatitis, and it sounds like this is what you have.
Gingivostomatitis is an inflammation of the mucous lining of any of the structures in the mouth, which may involve the cheeks, gums, tongue, lips, and roof or floor of the mouth as well as the gingiva (the gums). The inflammation can be caused by conditions in the mouth itself, such as poor oral hygiene, poorly fitted dentures, or from mouth burns from hot food or drinks, or by conditions that affect the entire body, such as medications, allergic reactions, or infections. A form of stomatitis known as stomatitis nicotina can be caused by smoking cigars, cigarettes, and pipes, and is characterized by small red bumps on the roof of the mouth.

Yeah swollen tastebuds I'd say. If you're concerned and it hasn't gone down a little after a while longer, poke your tongue out at the pharmacist and see what he or she says. I wouldn't be concerned though.
Did you know you can actually pick your tastebuds off? I tried it once, stupidly. It hurt. Funnily enough.

Umm, they sound like taste buds. If you havnt noticed them before you will notice that they are all various sizes - the further back and the sides have larger ones.
If they have definately not been there before, then they maybe ulcers? but u say they dont hurt/sting?
Have you changed your diet (spicy foods/ Vit B12 &/- iron deficiency), stressed, anaemic?

My grandmother used to tell me that you got little red spots on your tongue if you were lying! But I think this is just an old wives tale........

They sound like ulcers. Try taking a b-complex supplemen. Also they are sometimes used by very acidic foods such as oranges.

are these new things or things you just now saw that have always been present? Did the med cause 'em? Did you ever have DDS do complete oral exam?
Maybe they are normal taste buds!

I had this happen, they said my tastebuds had an infection and gave me a salve to use, likely the same as you. Keep using it, the infection will go away.
