Dental - December 2006

Can I be adjusted there? Is the type of braces people use in the USA differernt. DO the dentists have the correct tools? I dont know if braces are different from country to country

My fathers dentures have broken 5 times, now surely it would be cheaper to give them a proper pair in the first place, have the elderly and poor become second class citizens everyone should be entitled to the same treatment, he`s been told by his dentist if he wants a decent pair that wont break he has to pay for it privately

In the past week my gums have started to bleed when i brush them. I brush my teeth twice a day. (should be more) why have they started to bleed all of a sudden. my gums do not hurt and neither do my teeth. can anyone help.

I have posted a few questions regarding my previous root canal so if your back here again, thank you for your help, I am unable to get to a endodontist at this time and I need the help. I'm going ot be specific and as short as possible. I had a root canal in October of 06. Everything seemed to have gone well and she seemed to be very careful and thurough. As far as I know there was only 1 root. Because of tooth sensitivity and a tiny bit of what I thought was swelling, I went back to my dentist. She looked me over and assured me all was well. (highly recommended by the way). So, I tried to assure myself it was all good. The other day I decided to give myswelf the "tap" test. I tapped on my tooth with my finger nail. It was sensitive. No throbbing or pinching but like it is bruised. The tooth next to it which had a root canal over 9 years ago is also the same kind of sensitivity. IS THIS NORMAL? Some articles say yes, some professionals say no, what symptoms should I look for otherwise?

I had surgery on both my jaws three weeks ago. I still feel some pain, but I definitely feel stronger. I am a runner and 3 weeks without my regular runs are hard to handle. Can someone tell me when is it safe to start running again after the surgery?

im going in 4 days to get impressions, before i get my braces off so they can mold my retainer. and i am soo nervous because i hate with a passion those impressions.. how come my apppointment is 45 miuntes long just to get impressions? or is that genereally how long it takes?

i have toothaches on a regular basis. i have a small whole in one of my back teeth and the other one is almost gone, but the one that is almost gone NEVER hurts, its the other one that does. my insurance does not kick in until jan 1. is there any simple home remedies that actually help. i have tried all the otc pain relievers, numbing agents and warm water with salt. my dentist said it was because i was practically pregnant for 4 years and it took a toll on my body as well as my teeth is there anything to help rebuild my calcium in my teeth?

He was in bed and felt what he thought was a loose tooth and tried to pull it, then heard a crack! I think it may have been a permanent molar. He is 11...could it be a permanent tooth? It's the second to last tooth on the bottom (never lost it) doesn't that molar grow in without replacing a lost tooth? I'm panicked! Will call the dentist in the morning but was hoping to get some answers on here so I can sleep without worrying!

left there is a tooth gone,,, it doesnt look that bad and ppl never notice till i say somthing about it, i have really big top front teeth to so its hard to tell, but it is very hard cause its still this space there,,, and on the other side 3 teeth down a tooth dident come in, i think im pretty besides my teeth, what could the dentist do to fix it, there is braces but i thought that was to re aline your bite, what else would be possible for them to do?

She's having 2 teeth out. For orthodontic treatment.

She's very scared, and wants me in the room with her.
Will i be allowed to ?

She said that, she doesn't want it, if i can't be.

To be honest, even if i'm not allowed in the room, she's still getting them out. That sounds really harsh, but she needs them out.!

if i'm not allowed in. worried that she'll get really upset and scared.

My veneer on my left front tooth just cracked and is extremely loose. I am holding it in with some dent over the counter bonding until Monday. I think my veener should last longer, I had 2 other veneers prior to this one that lasted close to ten years. Shouldn't the dentist replace my veneer without charge since it only lasted just under two years? Or have I exceeded the time limit?

She is terriffed about having 2 adult teeth out. In tears, and refusing to go.

I've told her that, Only the injections will hurt a little. I'll be with her. And it will be over quickly.

This hasn't made any difference. She's told me that, she's definatley not going. lol.

Thinking about forcing her, just to get it over with. Is that a bad idea ?

how much to fix a tooth?
1] for the past few months when i eat candy, that one molar would kill me it hurt so bad!! then a little sopt on it became white so ok. but one morning im brushing my teeth and a piece of it came off, its like it was rotting from the inside, i got like 3 little pieces of my tooth, id say like 1/4 of the tooth is broken.

2] now i think its either the pulp or the dentin that is exposed and if my tongue brushes hte area in a wrong manner, it hurts so bad!!

3] i couldnt sleep last night because it felt liek zaps were going from my tooth to my brain!! omg!! and ts hurting now!!


would you PLEASE tell me how much will it cost for a dentist to GRAFT or even put another little piece where its hurting it fome?

kindly help someone in pain. :(
