Oh, man. That headgear is just no fun at all. Sorry to hear that you're having problems. As much as you might hate to hear this, wearing it more could help. If you put it on RIGHT before bed, you don't have time to get used to the feeling, and might get frustrated if getting to sleep takes a while. Put it on an hour before bed time. Watch some TV. Look up interesting stuff on the internet. Try to relax for a little while, so that when you go to bed, you're at least somewhat used to having it on. Getting to sleep should be a little easier after a week or so of getting used to it. Good luck, and sleep well! I hope this helps.

awwwwww, so sorry you are uncomfortable. listen, i have to sleep with a big hard plastic mask on my face. it is huge. and it has straps all over my head and face to hold it on while i sleep. i have oxygen hooked up to it. the machine is called a c-pap and it blows air really hard in my face and down my throat. it is to keep me breathing all night long. i know just what you are going through. and i do sympathize with you. but if you just keep it on and dont give up, i promise you will get used to it. it is hard for the first week or so, but after that, its a dream. good luck with it and merry christmas.

Try putting it on a couple of hours before you go to bed so that you are accustomed to it.
That seems to work for our patients.

yeah..had that problem too...just try to learn to sleep on your back....give your self lots of pillows to sort of prop yourself up..or get one of those molded pillows...very comfy...and know that this too will pass...your teeth are going to look so good!!
