No dental school anywhere will do your work for free. All dental schools, however, do work at a significantly reduced cost. Plan on making several trips there without having your chief complaint addressed, too. Things take quite a bit longer to get done in a dental school than in private practice. The best part about it is that you will have the opinions and experience of several dentists rather than just one in a private office. I hope I answered your question.

Dr. Slapshot (canadian dentist, eh?) lol.... is correct.
What you save in money you pay for in time...but the work is quality - my dad has a crown that was done at U. Ill. that is older than ME and is still holding strong.

And what's the deal with people wanting stuff for free? I mean, even people who get homes with Habitat for Humanity have to put SOMEthing into it...

I work at a non-profit clinic and we charge as little as 25% of regular fees and some people still complain. Hey, the non-profit has to pay for supplies, even if they get grants to pay for staff....
