I heard that doctors advise you not to swallow your tooth, and if you do, you should contact 911 immediately because emergency surgery is required. Is this true, and is so, why?

I've heard they have to drill out most of your tooth to be able to then fill it. seems a bit extreme, drilling out what you have left. to me it looks like i only have very small holes anyway, which i've had for ages. should i back out?

I am 23 and last time I checked I needed all my top teath pulled and needed dentures that was when I was 19. I am so tired of people thinking I do METH. I know what you all are thinking but I have never touched the stuff. When I was little my mom did not make me brush my teath and only took me to the dentist when something hurt. I know have three of my front teath are broken below the gum line on top and I maybee have only 5 non broken teath on top. I am writing because I am very low income and I need to get this fixed. The dental clinic for low income familys charge more to remove a tooth then the reg clinics ( why that is I do not know).and they have a 5 year waiting list for dentures. So that is out of the question I would rather have some teeth then none. What can I do or were can i go. NO dentist here in my small town will see any one with out payment upfront. I have tried Social Sercices and due to my age they can not help me.
PLease help me I want to be pritty

I have to get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow... I only have 3 of them, 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top left. I'm missing one on my top right for whatever reason. Just wondering, how common is it to be missing wisdom teeth (naturally)?

I get my all of my wisdom teeth plus 1 extra tooth removed next week. To be put under it will cost an extra $320. My hubby and I are kinda going thru a rough time financially so I really cannot afford to be put under. How much difference is there, pain wise, with the local anesthesia vs being put under?? Please be honest! I am a tough person. I've had cavities filled without any anesthesia at all, so my pain tolerance is pretty high, BUT I just wonder how bad it'll hurt.

My top front teeth sort of has an arc in them due to decay, so I was thinking about getting the tooth bonding procedure to level it out so they look better.

Could someone give me the details of this procedure please. The cost, pros and cons, do they look natural, will they break off easily, etc...

Thank you!

After a 5 year hiatus from the dentist, I had an exam and cleaning. Everything looked pretty good she said -- just one filling needed to be re-done, and one area will be watched. I take really good care of my teeth so I wasn't surprised. Now it's been almost a year and I wonder if I need to get the exam and cleaning again. I realize the norm is 6 mos. or a year, but is it crazy to do it every 2 years if I am vigilant about my oral care? Money is the main issue...but I also dislike dental visits...
