Do some searching on the Internet for products that help with halitosis like a tongue scrapper. Also if she brushes her teeth at night tell her to use hydrogen peroxide to rinse her mouth out (this kills a lot of the bacteria that causes bad breath better than any mouth wash with alcohol). You might want to use these things too just so she sees your new routine and she might pick up on it since she gets offended when you say something. Also start chewing sugarless gum like Trident or Orbit so when your out and you start to smell her breath she has no excuse not to take it. The next time she does a big hearty laugh look in her mouth to see if she has a decayed tooth because that could also be the cause for the smell.

Your friend may need to use a mini dental brush or floss between his teeth. Even if he does brush well normally and use mouthwash, the food trapped between his teeth will start to rot and smell quite vile. Over time, this leads to tar tar and gingivitis. The tell tale signs would be bad breath and bleeding of the gums.
He really ought to go to a dental hygienist so they can clear out the current problem, and show him how to maintain a good oral hygiene.

It's a guy that works with me that's just like that, well he use to be like that. He had a gum disease. Just by brushing your teeth and using mouthwash will not get rid of this. He has to make an appointment with his dentist and get a Rx mouth rinse that kills the bacteria in his mouth. That's the only thing that will get rid of his bad breath problem. The Rx mouth rinse is made by Colgate and it's called Perido-care or something like that.

He could have a bad acid reflex problem. He would need medication if that were the case. Maybe it could be his diet. Give him sone gum or something.

Make sure that he flosses his teeth too. He should be able to smell the floss string and tell whether he has gum disease or not.
