If you are asking which is better for your gums and teeth, then the answer is LISTERINE (without a doubt). Listerine is an antibacterial mouthrinse, it helps to kill the bacteria in your mouth that not only cause bad breath, but also those that cause periodontal (gum) disease. Scope is just a mouthwash, just that. All it does is freshen breath. Scope does not have any antibacterial properties, and does not do anything to help prevent and combat periodontal disease!

I would say Listerine. It helped me through a month of tooth pain! I had a broken tooth and was in tears everyday with it. I started using Listerine 3 times a day and was able to make it a month till I could get it fixed!

When I was in high school we did something similar. We got some petri dishes, and took cultures of mouthwash, our mouths and toothpaste. I forgot the results, but if you have about four days it is a fun project. I remember being surprised that mouthwash wasn't cleaner.
