My previous 3 were impacted as may be this one, still what are your suggestions holistically until I can get to a oral surgeon?

I haven't been to the dentist in about 9 years (out of fear from the last visit). I reccently went and am being recommended to receive a debridement. When he showed me the x-rays, however, I did not see any buildup and I have 0 cavities (never have had any). Can't I just get a normal cleaning? He also said that my two front teeth need to be crowned because of a fracture from gum to bottom of both teeth. He said that the crowns can't be matched to my teeth since they are not uniformly colored (have spots) and therefore also need a bleaching. There is no pain or sensitivity in my front teeth, so is this really necessary?

I had a 1st molar extracted yesterday. I am being very careful to follow the aftercare by my dentist. I'm not smoking, drinking through a straw, or doing anything else to encourage a dry socket. But yet I woke up this morning and cannot see the blood clot in the socket anymore. I can feel a jelly like substance but I see no clot. there is a slight ache in my jaw at the extraction site but it's not really painful.
are you suppose to see the blood clot? I look into the socket and all I can see is saliva, I see no clot. But it doesn't feel dry, it feels like there is a jelly substance there instead of a clot. Is this normal or am I starting to get a dry socket?
My dentist is closed today, otherwise I'd be calling him.

I have a filling in my lower jaw molar that has been there for probably two years. Recently I noticed a hair-line fracture on the side of the tooth (only half way - not all down to the bottom) with a 'black dot' at the end. My tooth has been hurting a little, but not excessively. Surprisingly, I only get some pain when I chew gum! I am thinking that maybe the filling I have has started to deteriorate and decay has set in. I'm worried it has gone down to my nerve & I might need a root canal. Can anyone help with info on this? I've got a dentist apt. in a few days, but I'm scared of what he'll say!

it is midnight and I have been awakened by the most horrific pain. I am supposed to be going to the dentist at the end of the week to have a broken tooth pulled but it hurts sooooo bad I dont think I can wait. I called and left a message at my dentist office telling them the situation and that I would like them to get me in asap, if not I would find a dentist that would. My question is, what can I do to numb the pain so I can sleep?? I am pregnant so drugs and alcohol are out... I have sleeping kids so I can't run out and buy anything right now. I have taken tylenol and it helped a little....I also tried some orajel and it too is helping a little, any other suggestions??

They all claim to whiten, but which is most effective for removing smoke, coffee, and plain old yellowing stains? I want toothpaste not strips.
