That's up to you. If you think the commute is worth it, you can stay with that dentist.

I have a good number of people who travel 3 or 4 hours to see me. These people are NUTS, but they have moved away and do not want to switch to a new dentist. There is no need to change unless the travel is too difficult for you.

It all depends on you. If you're not moving far- you can always keep your same dentist. If you don't want to travel- then finding a new dentist is an option.

You can stay with the one you have now, if you want to. After you move, drop them a line with your new address.
If you want to find one closer to your new house, have a look round after you move. It's hard to get on NHS dentist's waiting lists at the moment, though, so I would advise staying with your one, if you're happy with them and you can still travel to them easily. It's not like doctors, where you have to live in the area. Non-NHS dentists set their own fees; they're usually more expensive, but easier to get appointments with; their waiting lists are shorter.

You can stay where you are which is probably the best thing to do as a lot of dentists are refusing to take new patients
Happy moving!

its up to you...how far are you moving from the dentist and how often do you actually go to the dentist. Is it going to be a hassle to get there?

If you really like and trust your dentist, it will be worth the journey to keep him. Beg to be retained on his patient list.
