Her dentist told her he would have to go in and remove scaling from around the teeth. I was just curious on first. The teeth that have decayed over time will the bone grow back. He is also charging $300 for 4-quads (The entire mouth). I was also curious once she get's this done is this something she will have to do every 3 - 4 months. I was told this can be genetic issues as well. However, she is from china and she hasen't been to a dentist most of her life. She is 35yo now in the U.S.

Some people have allergic reactions to peroxide, and I was wondering if there were any other ways to whiten teeth without using it.

Around 4-5 months ago I started to notice the gum line of one of my top back teeth was receding. The gums around my two bottom incisors look a little odd, but they don't look anything like the top one. I was workin at a "find-some-way-to-stay awake" job, and drank tea with like 7 sugars every 2 hours. The thing is, I never really cared for sugar, so this was the first sugar overload my body's ever had.

I brush twice daily, and I've never had a cavity in my life (again, dont care for sugar), but this gum just won't go back down to normal.

Any ideas (other than see a dentist for the time being) on how to help my poor gum out?

Is your dentist private or NHS? How much did you pay for your last check up and did you need any further work? I go to a private dentist and I pay £35 for a check up and scale and polish last time I had a filling was 11 years ago.

I got braces in 2001, and they came off in 2003. When they came off, the ortho gave me a clear plastic retainer for my top teeth, and attached a wire to the back of the my bottom teeth. I've worn the retainers for 3 years, and my teeth haven't moved or anything, but I'm wondering how long it'll be before the wire is removed and I can get rid of the clear plastic retainer. I haven't had a single ortho appointment since, and have none scheduled in the future. Any idea?

can my orthodontist switch my top clear braces to metal ones? i just got braces put on a few days ago and i absolutely do not like the clear braces at all. i didn't know that they would be bigger than the metal braces and it looks ridiculous to have half and half.

thanks so much if you answer!! =]

Ever since I was 5 yrs old I have been afflicted with tooth pain (due to spinal menenchitus my teeth came out mushy.) I am now 40 yrs old and on the verge of becomming a dental handicap. but even that's to costly. I have insurance. Everyday for the past ten years or so I have had toothache pain. I am willing to be a guinnea pig if thats what it takes to use my smile again. Currently my teeth are either missing, have incomlete root canals, abcessed or crazy glued back in. If there is a dentist out there that is willing to work with me because they care about teeth and is not in it for a whole lot of money, please here my cry.

He sometimes wears two masks, one with makeup on it. He also tries to do impersonations of Yoda, Arnold, and Mr. Bean. He has hit his head on the lights about 1,000 times. Do you think he is brain damaged?
