I went for my six month check up today. This is a new dentist who has been practicing in my neighborhood for 33 years with his Dad.

He was very informative, giving me hygiene tips during the cleaning.

The enamel near my gumline is being worn away because I use a firm toothbrush! All these years, I thought they were teh good ones to use. He told me to use the soft or extra soft, because they won't erode the enamel and they are more pliable so they can get in the nooks and crannies.

Go figure!

I had my four wisdom teeth out yesterday (the 18th @ 9am). I am still having blood in my mouth all though it is not heavy bleeding. When I rinse with salt water I have seen some very small chunks come out with my saliva. Is it normal to still have blood at this time after my extractions?

I have a cavity that is kind of big but it doesn't hurt. I'm really nervous about it, because I'm not sure what kind procedure I'm going to need when I go to the dentist. Does anyone have any idea?

I have a sensitive tooth and I dont know what it is. I have never had a cavity and there is no hole/discoloration on the tooth. It only hurts sometimes. If it was a cavity, it would hurt after eating sweets right? Well after I eat sweets my tooth doesnt even bother me. What could the problem be?

How does this thing work? Why does it release less amount of X-ray than the traditional X-ray thing? Is it 100% safe?

I have got 6 in my back teeth, I went to a drill and fill NHS dentist as a kid and he did them, not sure if they were needed. I have since had them changed to composite white ones, which look a lot better.

To move a tooth back? I ask this because I have two canine teeth, for lack of a better term, that look like fangs because they came in too early. I'm not asking for an exact time, just a rough estimate if I were to use traditional or invisalign braces.

I know the guidelines of American Dental Association (after) and I disagree as when you floss after then the bacteria again are dug out... Flossing before has even more votes against.
