Brush at least three times a day,, if youre a pop drinker,, dont sip all day, drink with your meals and if you dont have a toothbrush handy after meals, at least rinse your mouth out with water and swish the food debris off your teeth,, you may want to ask your dds for an Rx for a toothpaste that has more fluoride in it, like prevident by colgate... I am a dental assistant.. :)

I don't know what the maximum times per day would be, but if you are having trouble with cavities and really want to get the most out of brushing, brush after each meal and before bed. If you are a major snacker, probably rinsing with water after a snack would be a good idea. The problem would come from using too hard of a brush (stick to soft) or too much toothpaste (stick to a "pea-sized" drop).

Yes but only if you brush too hard. You can brush as many times as you want but it's the foods that you eat that cause the cavities. Make sure you always brush and floss. Alot of people always forget to floss. Flossing gets rid of the food between the teeth which causes majority of the cavities. If you can stand it, gargle with listerine. It helps gid rid of the bacteria that causes the gingivitis( bad breath) too.
Brush your teeth at least 3 times a day, floss, and gargle. Your teeth will thank you in the long run.

I'm not a dentist but my dad was. If you are prone to cavities than you should probably brush after every meal. Use a soft bristle toothbrush and floss regularly also.
