To move a tooth back? I ask this because I have two canine teeth, for lack of a better term, that look like fangs because they came in too early. I'm not asking for an exact time, just a rough estimate if I were to use traditional or invisalign braces.

Here's a picture to show what I'm talking about, sort of. Like I have two canine teeth that stick out further than they're supposed to and need to be moved back. I already have plenty of space for them to move back, I just want to hear scenerios as to how long it would take any type of braces, without worrying about any other problems, back into place.

It is a vague question but I will do my best. The canines are supposed to look like fangs (That is the reason behind naming them canines). Apart from the canines, do you have crowding, or any other issues with your teeth. If it is just the canines being pointed, you can go to a Dentist and round the edges. But the ideal option would be braces for 2 years. Hope that helps.

I just saw your picture and I am still confused about your question/concern. Your canines look exactly the way they should look. The canines are in general bulky from front to back compared to other teeth. In addition, they rounded from front to back. Canines have canine eminence and you want them like that for a beautiful smile. Let me ask you a question. When you run your tongue behind the top teeth, do you feel a big step between the canines and lateral incisors? If you do canines can be moved back. If not moving the canines back will make your teeth look awful.
