There are several reasons for bad breath. Bad breath or Halitosis can be wither Extrinsic or Intrinsic. Extrinsic factors are things like smoking, coffee and some foods. They are also due to poor oral hygiene and bacteria emitting foul odors. You can treat that by getting your teeth cleaned and flossing and brushing regularly. Make sure you clean your tongue. If bad breath persist after these measures, it may be intrinsic in origin. You may have some issues in your stomach (like ulcers or acidity) which may also cause bad breath. Oh, by the way, mints and mouthwashes provides temporary relief and they may actually make things worse, avoid them if you can. Hope that helps.
