Dissolve salt in boiled water as hot as you can take it without burning yourself and swish it about in your mouth, between teeth. Up your vitamin C intake too.

Listerine is the way! Or, if you want to use Peroxide, it is o.k. to dilute it and swish it in your mouth, but do not swallow it. If you read the label, Peroxide is safe to use as a mouthwash, but just don't swallow it. Also, brush more often and brush your gums. It's o.k. if they bleed... if you keep brushing your gums often, they will toughin up and will stop bleeding and being sore. Also, I suggest you take a multivitamin... that could also be a cause for sore gums.

First, go to your dentist and get your teeth cleaned. THe soreness is being exacerbated by tartar deposits below the gumline. Then ask your dentist how to proceed; he will probably recommend brushing with a soft brush twice a day or so. Also, he will probably recommend another cleaning in six months, or possibly less if he wants to check up on progress. Whatever he recommends, go with it. And, if you are a smoker, QUIT!

I had sore gums until I started flossing and using listerine everyday. It was like the abuse of the floss toughened them up and the listerine numbed them afterward and cleaned out all the germs that caused the irritation. If I slack off and don't floss and use listerine I gums get irritated again. Hope that helps!

Sometimes salted water helps if you rinse with it. I might try plain water at first to see if rinsing with that will help.
Keep away from any kind of sugar product..for a while until they heal.

you need to visit a dentist. however there are some things you can do buy a soft tooth brush and clear your teeth, then use a mouth wash or warm salty water. myself i would use salt water, it was advised by my dentist when i had operation on to sort out a recurring abscess under a tooth.
