Read this story that I keep posting and pray that yours work out just like my three children's did. That might help calm your fears.
I removed two of my older daughter's wisdom teeth at 2:00 in the afternoon and told her to go home and lie down until dinner time. Before I got home, she had already left for the mall! I was rather angry, because I figured that she'd be moaning all night long and asking me what to do for the pain. Much to my happy surprise, she seemed just fine. She said that she waited until the numbness started to go away and she felt pretty good, so she decided to get up and go.
Same thing with my son. We were actually headed home from a drum lesson and he asked if we could stop in the office to check out the sore place in his mouth. It turned out to be an erupting wisdom tooth. He asked if I felt like taking it out right then, so I did. (I was afraid he might change his mind if he thought about it overnight.) His mom didn't even know he had a wisdom tooth taken out until he had to take the gauze out of his mouth to eat dinner. His uppers were both kind of difficult and he had trouble healing with one of them (sinus involvement), but that didn't last for more than 3 or 4 days.
With my third child, I took her to the oral surgeon, because the roots were sort of close to the nerve and _I_ didn't want to be the one to cause her any trouble if things got difficult. She had nitrous oxide and little bit of iv sedation and had all four removed at once. I wanted to get her right home, but she asked me to stop off at the mall before we went home. She insisted that she was okay. Instead of going home and lying down, she walked through the mall. Yes, she was biting on her gauze packs (in the mall!), but still she was a lot more active than I would recommend. She had no trouble at all healing. I think she went out that night, too. (It was 1999, so I don't remember the details.)
I'm not saying that they are ALL like this, but there are wisdom teeth and then there are w*!`S^D@m TEETH!!! I always say that wisdom teeth (and root canals, by the way) are like teenagers. At least 90% are no trouble at all, but everybody talks about the bad ones.

Ok, I've had 8 teeth pullen out, including my wisdom teeth of course...haha! I'm not scared of the dentist, and you shouldn't be either. When I was 14, I had the 4 teeth behind my canines pulled out...see, first they'll put a numbing cream on your gums, wait a bit, and then the doctor will give you a few shots, but I swear it will only feel like a pinch, that's all. Then they will wait some more and you'll feel all puffy. Then the doctor comes and pulls the teeth out, but I swear to god, it won't hurt. Now, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled out when I was 18, they were not even exposed yet, so the doctor had to actually cut through my gums first. So basically, he gave me a shot through an IV, and I was out like a light. When I woke up, it was alllll over. The first time I went, he doctor knew I was scared, so he kinda covered my eyes with his hand while he gave me the shots and did the pullin'. Try not to look at the shots, because that will make you more nervous. Also, while all this is going on, try to think good happy thoughts, like going out with your friends, or whatever you like. Make sure to also concentrate on your breathing, and let the guy just do what he's gotta do. Also keep in mind that this is only for your own good, and you wanna make sure you have a pretty smile. :o) Hope all of this helps sweetie!

You need to face your fears and just do it. Plus the oral surgeon that would yank them has had more schooling than a normal dentist and would take better care of you.

If you dont get them yanked it will cause your teeth to move drastically. I got mine in but i wear retainers do to braces that were removed. It forced my wisdom teeth to come in perfectly straight will no problems.I didnt have to get them yanked (kinda rare). Just get them yanked so you wont have problems later. Heard its pain in the butt the first couple days and you'll look like a chipmunk but it'll go away.

I put off having mine removed for years and years and they gave me lots of problems. Finally, I had them all removed a few weeks ago and the pain was nothing compared to the discomfort they've caused me in the past. I opted to be put to sleep and I woke up dopey and happy. I didn't even need to take the pain medication they have me, I just took regular advil and kept ice packs on my face to keep the swelling down. The blood on your mouth is gross but that passes. You'll do fine.

I got mine yanked a few years back. It does hurt. But on a positive note, I lost 10 pounds as a result of only eating saucey foods for a week.

I got mine out in the Navy and it was pretty painless. There will be more pain if they are impacted. Dentistry nowadays is painless for the most point. Ask if you can bring an ipod or walkman and listen to some music (if you're going to be awake).

have you been to the dentist at all about it?
because if you havent, then go. chances are, he is going to refer you to an oral surgeon, and if that happens you can get knocked out.............and if you get knocked out there is nothing to fear.......well until you wake up. they really are much worse than just a regular tooth to heal up. but dont sweat the procedure if you are going to an oral surgeon. its happy time lol
they do give you pain meds that rock like percocet
take care of yourself after you get them pulled dont smoke if you do because you could get dry sockets and that was right next to child birth...........
i lived though lol
let me know how it goes
good luck

They are going to hurt a LOT (LOT LOT) worse if you don't get them out than the pain you feel getting them out.
I was scared to get mine out, if you're really apprehensive, front the money and just get the gas--it's worth it if you're that scared. Or they can give you a pill too, makes you all goofy.

I would have the procedure done. Those wisdom teeth can really cause really bad problems. If they don't bother you just leave will enough alone.
