I have a really good friend who needs his wisdom tooth pulled. Unfortunately he has no insurance and it is $700 to get it pulled. He doesn't have a lot of money so he doesn't know what to do, after he pays his bills he isn't left with much else. Does anyone have any suggestions...safe suggestions?

Hi, I've had an irregular jaw shift problem since I was born. I cannot pronounce the "ch" "sh" "tr" "dr" and similar sounds and the letters "j" "g" and "h" without sounding uncomprehendible and with a big wad of spit coming out. I really hate it. It makes me feel insecure, unconfident, I always get made fun of for it, and I just am plain sick of it.

Anyways, I think getting this problem fixed will make me more confident (because when I say something with those sounds, people can't understand me very well. When I say "she," my peers think I said "he."). I want to apply to medical school in about 4 years, and the thing I am most nervous about is that I will have to say something with one of those sounds, and it may be uncomfortable during my interviews).

I am 17 years old, and I am entering college in two weeks. I want to at least have some sort of surgery before hand. So what can I do to get it fixed, and please provide me with names of surgerys that realign the jaw. Thanks!!!!!!!

I saw some "craft porcelain" clay-like stuff in an art store the other day, and wondered if it might be the same thing. Weird.

I am curious about whether it is possible that this is correct...

I bought Arm and Hammer "Enamel Care" toothpaste. The advertising says that the liquid calcium in it will restore surface enamel within three months. Is this possible?

I have a teenage daughter who is tongue-tied. She has no problem whatsoever with her speach or eating etc., but has recently stated that she may like to have her tongue clipped, because it just bothers her at times. (normally the clipping is done at a much younger age if there are speach problems or the like) Our doctor says to go to an oral surgeon. Has anyone had this done at this age, what is it like, how painful is it, how long does it take to heal, etc.?

How do you answer the dentist when he has finished filling a tooth and your face is numb up to your eyeballs, when he asks, "How does it feel?"

A really nice guy that I just met has terrible bad breath. He seems interested in a relantionship but his bad breath is the only thing turning me off. What options are out there to diminish this? How can I talk to him about it without hurting his feelings?
Thanks

What kind of symbols (logos) do dental schools/dental associations have? I'm currently looking for interesting examples of dental symbols on the academic field and would be very happy to receive any links and interesting examples. Thank you so much in advance!
