Molars are at the back. Your 'k9s' are either side of your four upper front teeth. Your dentist should let you know whether or not it is worth saving.

How do you know you have a cavity? Caps are the same as crowns and you have to remove a lot of tooth structure in order to put a crown on the tooth. Fillings are a lot more conservative AND less expensive. Depending on the amount of decay is what will determine your treatment. See your dentist.

I'd say get a cap. That tooth is used frequently. A filling can fall out.
