My neice is diagnosed with rare disorder of kidney to which there is no treatment. Research on the disorder consistently reveals benefits of fish oil in repairing existing damage and slowing/halting progression of the disease. Her specialist recommends she take fish oil everyday.

She started with Carlson's Kids lemon flavored liquid. She didn't tolerate it well; made her gag & burp. I take Natures Way Fisol Fish Oil which is enteric coated so causes no stomach disrupt.

WOULD THIS BE A GOOD CHOICE FOR HER?
Lable says enteric coated makes it much more absorbable by the body. Also states "tested and mercury and PCB free". The dosage in 1 capsule is listed below. I was going to suggest to her mom 1 capsule per day.

Fish Oil (Sardine, Anchovy, Mackerel) 500 mg
Omega-3 fatty acids 250mg
EPA 150mg
DHA 100mg

I feel somewhat ok, physically, but have no voice. AND, I have to give a class presentaion on Monday!! Its mandatory. I cant go to the MD, because its the weekend, (plus I dont have insurance), So, I really need a quick fix. Thanks so much!!

hi my boyfriend is going through a really rough in his life. he is 35 years old & has been addicted to Opiet (misspelled i think) pills for 5 yrs or more, he has gotten help for the pill addiction, but now he has been addicted to whiskey like Jack daniels & jim beam for the past yr, he knows he has a problem & doesn't want to be drinking anymore, he has a chance to go to the hospital to get some help for 4 days, but he chickened out & asked his pill friend for some Opiet pills to help him with the withdrawl he is having from the alcohol, because the pills helped the last time he got off the alcohol! last time he didn't have any alcohol to drink when he started the pills & this time he has a big bottle of Jim Beam & he seems to think he needs to drink it while he is taking the pills if the pills dont help with the withdrawl!!! he wont listen to anyone, he thinks he needs to take 4 or 5 pills at a time in order to help him. he doesn't think mixing the pills & booze will kill him!

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and am wondering if I can use traumeel ointment for my painful knees. I've used it previously without any bad reactions but have not used it since I've been pregnant because I'm not sure if it's safe, I've seen some of the herbs on the contraindication lists for pregnancy, but mainly for teas and ingestion.
