A lot of hype is currently being generated by alternative medications. Herbal medicine uses roots, stems, leaves, flowers, or seeds of plants to improve health, prevent disease and treat illnesses.

My friend and I were talking and she said that a friend told her to swallow 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel a day for her ulcerative colitis! She said that her doctor told her it would help her naturally heal with a good diet. So, I was just wondering if she was messing with me or if you can actually eat aloe vera gel. Isn't that like poisoning your system or bad for your health?
