Some of these answers are just plain funny. First of all, for someone who has studied health and nutrition for many years I think I can offer you some practical and sensible advice.
If you find it difficult to swallow large multivitamins/mineral capsules or tablets then maybe you can consider a liquid form. There are many different liquid multivitamins/mineral brands on the market but I would find one that is a whole food vitamin/mineral supplement. So why a whole food supplement you ask?
First, many multi-vitamins are synthetically made which means they may not get absorbed in the right amount of time in the right areas of the digestive process. The second reason is that many individuals have problems absorbing synthetic multi-vitamins in general so your body may not be able to utilize the synthetic version of a nutrient. Whole food vitamin/mineral supplements come from just what they say “Whole Foods”. These supplements are created from actual fruits and vegetables. It is believed that there is a higher bioavailability and absorption of the nutrients because they are actually created from foods and not synthetically created. In other words, the nutrients are absorbed much better than other synthetic supplements out there.
As far as eating right, that is good advice...but in today's world it is not always easy to do that. Also,
many of today’s foods are processed and refined so much that many of the vitamins and minerals that are in other foods besides fruits and vegetables are stripped of their vitamin/mineral content. We live in a world of convenience and most convenience foods have to be processed and refined so much that many of the nutrients get excreted from the food itself. I think most doctors would agree that supplementation is needed today to stay healthly and prevent diseases. Besides, it doesn't hurt to give your body some help.
Finally, make sure you go to a nutrition or health food store and stay away from drug stores and supermarkets for all your vitamin/mineral supplements.
If you need some quality suggestions on what exactly to get, just e-mail me and I will help you out. Stay Well!

Ensure drinks are really good, and expensive, but cheapest at Walmart I've found. Easy to say just eat healthy, what if you're unable to handle a healthy portioned diet for one reason or another. If you feel you have a poor diet, look for a few new things to try, Tofu, peanut butter, almond butter, hot grain cereals. The liquid vitamins are for kids, I don't know if they have an adult one.

Multivitamins are a miracle of modern advertising. Everyone thinks they need them.
Mostly they are a waste of money; you get all the vitamins you need by eating food. Get 5-10 servings of fruit and veggies every day and eat whole grains instread of taking the vitamins.
So your option for getting the vitamins you need is ..... eat food.

liquid vitamin/mineral supplements are available at health food stores. "Buried Treasure" is a good one. I am sure there are others.

I take a liquid supplement and you're right, it's not available in the stores but you can order it online and it's delivered right to your house.....That's convenient enough.
The bonus is it tastes good and works great and you don't have to swallow all those pills. I hate pills and need to take a quality supplement, despite having an excellent diet.
I am very grateful to have found a liquid supplement that meets my requirements and happy to share this information with you. (http://www.LimuPlus.com/287998)

There are things called whole food supplements. Talk to people at GNC about them. By the way I do not work for GNC.
