No, not really. You gonna have to just get it down. Are you putting 2 teaspoons in 12oz of water?
Once you get it down drink another glass of water to help rinse your mouth.
Since your using this as a laxative have you tried Sea Salt. This taste a little better. Same principle as Epsom, Just better.
I have used sea salt when doing Salt Water Flushes.

If your african cichlids are african rift lake cichlids then they need marine salt, and not the other salts, period. The importance is hard water and a high pH, and table salt, aquarium salt, etc, are not going to provide this. Epsom salt is effective as a laxative, and again not a good salt to use in the tank in general. Again, the importance is the HARDNESS of the water and the high PH that the rift lake fish need to thrive. Marine salt or cichlid salt/buffer are the best methods to obtain this objective. Adding other salts is just a waste of time. If they are african river cichlids, like buffalo head cichlids, kribs, or jewels, no salt needed, period, as they like neutral waters and lower hardness.

yes it was horrendously salty. it flushed my system out for sure for about 12 hrs. took about 24 hrs to fully get back to normal.
just drink it in as few sips as possible. I did it over about 5 minutes then had some pepsi afterwards to help the taste.
PS my epsom salts give instructions on this use. Next time you're at the drug store look at the packaging.
DO NOT do this when you have somewhere you need to be the next day.

why drink that?? Why not try some physillium on a regular base every morning or night a Tsp. in a glass warm water and you never have a problem. Just make sure the Physillium is from the Health food Store.

yuk!!! Have you tried a stool softener yet? Dolcasate I believe is the name of one I would try that. And eat some fruit and drink plenty of water. Save the Epsom salt for a foot soak!

Instead of epsom salt you could try 40 to 60 prunes a day for a few days. Anything less might not be enough.

I never heard of that for a laxative. Why don't you try warm prune juice, that will work.
I just looked at website for Epson Salt and it says nothing about drinking it, just soaking in it. PLEASE DONT DRINK IT!
