It started with a post-nasal drip and bad sore throat. It continued with sinus mucus and drainage. Then slight fever, got into my left ear (and hurt), some body aches, generally not feeling energetic or well. Seems worse overnight and early morning then better as the day wears on. Now it seems to be moving into my chest. Still have a cough, some post-nasal drip but heaviness in my chest and don't feel well at all. It is now about day 9-10. The mucus (I cough up) is mainly whitish (just slightly greenish) and was thick this morning.

Has anyone else had it (it seems to be going around here in NC). How long did it take to get well? At what point should I see a Dr? (I'm not a believer in taking anti-biotics for virus or just for the heck of it).

I'm taking pseudophed, dextromethrophan, guaifenesin, and OJ.

Thanks! (cough, cough)

So there IS hope for me after all! She said that what did it for her was the acceptance she received through the anonymity of the Internet, and I'm sure she's right. When people see your words but not your body, they develop affection they could not if they saw your morbid obesity. They would not bother to get to know you if they saw you first, except perhaps those who wanted to exploit your helplessness.

So like I say, there's hope! I already give Yahoo! Answers credit for preventing my committing suicide after My Steve did; now perhaps I will be able to give you all credit for saving my life again.

I really need my sleep, I have to have around 9 hours to feel half decent the next day, but sometimes I actually find it hard to know if when I thought I was awake I was actually still asleep. I have slept-walked my whole life and got into some pretty scary situations. Last night I know I had a bath and dried my hair but looking back it feels like I was asleep then, the things thats really worrying me is if I can be asleep but still drive! I often get to work and wonder if I was paying any attention and I have recently had an accident leaving work. I just dont know how I actually know im awake as I am so capable when asleep, just looking for advice.........

Does anyone know of any groups that help with people depressed by illness in West Yorkshire, England? Or anyone elsewhere maybe that I can phone or contact.
I've been ill a long time and it's getting worse... it's caused me to loose contact with people (I now have social anxiety PLUS can't get out to meet people anyway). It's also caused me problems with education.
I'm seeing a self help person and she is trying to get a councillor to talk to me.
But I wondered if there were any people who specialise in helping people depressed because of illness?

Thank you very much

My mom has ulcerative colitis, she has developed ulcers all over her legs that the doctor specificly told her was a very rare form of the disease where istead of the ulcers staying on her intestines they also travel to the skin. (This is NOT diabetes we were told by multiple doctors already and she was tested)

However she is in a lot of pain and refuses to go to the doctor to be poked and prodded again. She said the only way she would be seen would be to have them come to her. How can I get a home doctor visit??? We live in the Boston MA area
her regular doctor doesn't normally make house calls should I ask anyways or see a visiting nurse. I really want her to be looked at again she's had ulcers for 6 months and there not going away...she's been ok but now she's having pain.

Please help me out where can I find a doctor willing to come to our home?? Thanks in advance

I've been wearing a 36c for years now, and with my ever fluctuating weight, have never bothered being re-measured - until now.

I found out, that instead of the 36c that I've been wearing, I am now between a 34dd and 34e cup. Wow! I am in disbelief, didn't think they were that big.

I am a little confused though. When I was measured before, I was a size 12, 36c. Now, however, I am a size 14, so how come if I've put on weight, although this explains my increase in cup size, how come my back size has gotten smaller?

I see the commercial on tv that says to eat a can of almonds a week, but I thought almonds were very high in fat. I love to snack, and I know that to keep my metabolism up I should eat a little something every 2-3 hours, so are these nuts ok? I do not want to get fat.

i'm only 16 years old; and i've fount out that i have aspergus.
how unfair?? i've also found out that i can't get married, or have children, or even have a partner; until i learn how to control this illness. i'm too young for a lifelong illness! i also found out that not only do i have aspergus; but it's crossed with impulsive behaviour disorder as well. i need some one to help me through this; as my Mum is too upset about this, and blaming herself; even though i told her that it wasn't her fault; none of us knew this. But she kept saying that she did know it; but the System failed me, they gave me back to my Mum, and said that it was just me being me. HOW UNFAIR??

My husband tells me I am not rational and my way of thinking is messed up. I have suffered from depression in the past (after my first marraige which was abusive and the christians around me telling me I was a sinner for getting divorced, making me feel like crap). But I recovered and met my new husband. He is on his second marriage too (he says the problem with his first wife was her lack of interest in him). And he currently works abroad to be close to his kids. I'm due to move out there next week. But the past few months he critizises me alot. I have been emotional about emigrating&leaving my family, but at the same time I was excited about being with my husband, alhtough I don't really like the country he's working in. Anyhow he likes to know what I do and where I go and ask his opinion on it.
I went out last week during the day and it took a week for him to forgive me. We made up but last night he started telling me again about

I know that Emphysema is a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) involving damage to the air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs. As a result, your body does not get the oxygen it needs. Emphysema makes it hard to catch your breath. You may also have a chronic cough and have trouble breathing during exercise.

But let say that if I suffer from Emphysema, would this finally cause my death if I shall not undergo any form of treatment. Also how long would I take before I die?.
