First of all, I take Dilantin (100mg three times a day) and am having some horrid panic issues... I feel panicky all day everyday and the medicine the doctor gave me scares me (buspar, the side effects freak me out) so I went to WalMart and bought two things. 1. Natrol 5-HTP and Valerian root.

My questions are, do those two things have any side effects? Has anyone been hurt by taking it? And, will either one of those interact badly with Dilantin? Oh, and has anyone used them for panic disorder?
I called the doctor and he said he didn't know and that anything sold over-the-counter isnt very strong...

My dentist filled in a chip on one of my buck-teeth...but now that tooth is significantly shorter than the other.Did she do it right?....What can I do?

Recently I recieved a fairly severe sunburn. I am very fair with freckles. The burn was definate 2nd degree. Past red, it was purple and completely blistered. The tops of my back and shoulders recieved the worst level of burn. Now that the skin has healed I have had severe pain like raw nerve endings. It's a itchy, burning, shooting, intense pain. I haven't slept much for a week because it seems to be getting worse.

I have tried nearly everything in my house. The later it is in the evening, it seems to get worse. Also any stimulation makes it worse. The worst part is it gets so itchy and the more I itch it, the more unbearably itchy it gets.

Does anyone have any suggestions to soothe the pain and itching? Also, does anyone know about how long this irritation might last?

I had a cavity and went to the dentist on Thursday and had it filled. Once he started getting out the decay before filling it, he said he did not realize it was as decayed much as it was. He really had to do a lot of "digging". He said it was a large cavity but wanted to try save the tooth. He said a little more and he would have had to pull it or other options. But anyway, he filled the tooth. I have never had a filled tooth hurt afterwards. It has been hurting since Thursday afternoon. It is very sensitive to hot/cold and sometimes even when I breath in air it begins to have a dull ache. It is almost a constant dull ache. Tylenol has helped with the dull ache, but again I have never had a tooth filled that has hurt afterwards. Is this normal and will it get better? Maybe it is just extra sensitive right now? What do you think? Help if you can please. (the pain is not untolerable, just aggravating, just a dull ache off and on). Thank you for your answers.

I got my braces out about two years ago and i've been wearing my retainer ever since. but lately i shrunk it and now i can't fit it. i'm very worried that my teeth might move because i still have wisdom teeth impacted. can you please tell me a thing or two just so i'd know if it's ok or if i should go get new retainers.

this isnt the first time its happened, it feels like i have water in it but i don't, ands it clean b/c i use q-tips often, im almost deaf in it. So, I was at the beach when I accidently swam into a nest of jellyfish. They stung me on my legs which, later turned into red, swollen, welts. I heard about peeing but I thought that was only a myth. Will I risk infection if I don't treat them? If anyone has any good cures please answer to this. Thank you.

I fell while roller blading and used my hands to catch myself. My right hand kinda buckled so I was on my arm. Both my hands and my right wrist/arm hurt at the time but now its just my wrist and the space in between my thumb and finger that hurt. But it hurts to tre point that I can't move my wrist or thumb. What can I do to ease the pain without going to the doctors or store?

I never had sex before in my life (i'm over 18), my boyfriend lives in another state, he came to visit me a month ago, 2 days later he got blisters on his lip, a week after it was gone....a month after we kissed again, the next day, he started getting blisters on his lower lip on the side, he went to the doctor and told him that whoever you kissed transmitted you a virus infection.. When we kissed he had nothing on his lips, clean everything, He is my first kiss, i never kissed no one in my life but him, I also never got any blisters on my lips or anywhere in my body, never ever, not after we kissed only him..... There is nothing on me that shows that i might have something to be suspiscios of....Please, how is it possibile that after a day of kissing he got a virus infection, i'm going crazy here so is he..

I have quite a few cavities that I need to get filled, and I'm 5 months pregnant. I got two filled the other day, and the dentist told me that nothing they gave me would affect the baby. I called my doctor a few days later just to make sure, and they said it was fine but that it's best to wait until after I have the baby to do it if at all possible. But she repeatedly told me that if my teeth were bothering me I should go ahead and do it. So then I researched it a little online and found that the epinephrine that is combined with the local anesthesia can cause minor birth defects. Should I wait? As far as my insurance goes, it would be much better for me to get it done this year, but my baby's not due until Dec. 24. Do dentists ever offer to give local anesthesia without epinephrine? And what are the "minor" birth defects that it can cause?
