It is incredibly unhealthy for you because it has so much sugar, caffeine, colourings and all sorts of other nasty things, but I don't think it specifically causes acne because most teenage acne isn't related to food and drink. But, it will not help your body or skin health in any way and might make things worse, yes.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Just a myth - unless you're drinking it by laying your face in the bottle, it's not going to really affect your pores. However, drinking lots of water is meant to help acne, so if you're drinking only Coke and skipping water, it isn't going to *cause* acne, but it's getting in the way or something that could help it.

Coca-Cola does not directly cause acne. The only part of diet that would make acne worse would be too much iodine, or malnutrition.

I don't think it causes acne.I had acne and it cleared up nicely.I still drink coca cola and my skin has remained clean. The thing is, I don't drink sodas as much as I used to. I drink more water and I eat alot less sweets, cake, etc. All the best!

Acne is caused by a build up of oil and dirt in pores. Food and drink have no affect on causing acne.
