To go on a diet with someone else or by yourself?

That depends on your goals and ability to motivate yourself. In my case, being diabetic, I motivate myself. It's easy when you break it down into two basic choices. You can either live to eat (and slowly die before your time), or eat to live (and live a long, productive life).

Dieting full stop isn't 'easy' it takes alot of discipline.

Personally l am more independant, so naturally more inclined to do things such as becoming fit on my own.

Never had a problem motivating myself to wake up early to go running despite the weather.

Dieting with someone else can swing both ways - supportive or it'll be competitive - priorities and intentions may become distorted.

Definately with somebody else. I'm on Weight Watchers again to work off my baby fat. The first time around I had my bestfriend doing it with me and that helped a lot. I have a friend now who's doing it at home because she doesn't want to pay for it, but she's not having any success. She's going up and down.

Having a friend makes it easier when going out to eat. You don't have to watch them scarf down a fattening meal while you're eating a salad. You both are watching the calories and fat, so there's no temptation to cheat.

With someone else. I'm a competitive person so if I diet with someone, I'm determined to do better than them and I'm more likely to stick to the diet.

Probably by yourself unless you and your friend are attached at the hip. Otherwise, you would always be worried if each other was cheating or not. And then when/if the weight starts to come off, you are just going to be comparing yourselves to each other in your minds..it wouldn't work out well!! Just find the motivation inside yourself.

My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website

Always someone else. Together you will support each other which will help you get your desired results faster. Make sure it is someone that is going to stick with you through the whole thing though.
