I got my braces out about two years ago and i've been wearing my retainer ever since. but lately i shrunk it and now i can't fit it. i'm very worried that my teeth might move because i still have wisdom teeth impacted. can you please tell me a thing or two just so i'd know if it's ok or if i should go get new retainers.

HELP ..Please!

Your retainer should not have changed shape or shrunk since it is made out of formed plastic unless you tried to manipulate it yourself. See the orthodontist and have them make an adjustment or a new one if necessary. They will have your records and models and can compare if necessary. Good luck

I personally don't know too much about orthodontry because I never had braces, but I wouldn't say its too good to be wearing a retainer that doesn't fit properly. I would say call your orthodontist up and ask him about the situation.

KITTY,
HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO "SHRINK" THE RETAINER?
GO BACK TO THE DENTIST WHO DID THE CASE WITH THE RETAINER TO SEE IF THIS CAN STILL BE FIXED?
A NEW ONE MAY NEED TO BE MADE.
