I have been getting the same allergic reaction since I was a teenager... it springs up from time to time and no doctors can tell me what it is....

Symptoms are red spots under the skin (more like blotches) on the palms of my hands. This is the only place I get them on the body.

It feels very uncomfortable, constantly tingling and itching and after a while the skin starts to peel which is quite painful. Sorry this sounds gross!

I thought it was my washing powder but this doesn't seem to be the case.... I know its a long shot but if anyone has had something similar I'd love to know what you did about it!

Thanks

On most bodybuilding websites and magazines, they always disclose e-mail addresses for the bodybuilders. Such as Chris Cook's and Ahmad Haider's etc. These are not their real e-mail addresses are they??? Do they actually read and reply to the e-mails that people send them??? I wanted some advice but I don't wanna bother sending an e-mail if they're not even going to be the ones to read it.

What I have noticed is that alheimers looks just like autism in reverse. The symptoms are so similar, just named differently. For example-Sundowning/stimming, rummaging/spinning or any other repetative motion, hourding/collecting(obsessive behavior), catastophic reactions/sensory integration dysfunction, empty speech/ echolalia, getting stuck/Peter Pan syndrome(unreasonably uncomfortable with change), need for task breakdown (both), inappropriate behavior (both). Has anyone seen this? I can't be the only one.

I'm 33 and self employed. About 2 years ago I began having a slight pain down my left leg. A year later a MRI showed that I have degeneration in levels L2 to S1, the worst being L5/S1. Now in the 2nd year I have terrible pain in my left leg and another level showing the same signs my leg did just two years ago L2/L3. I know what to expect, but am scared of what is to come.

I used to be very competitive in triatholons, soccer, etc and now a walk to the mailbox w/o meds is a challenge. It is hard to give up old habits.

With 4 children I have to support, I am in a real pickle. I am real careful with pain meds, I try to go 1-2 days a week w/o them to keep my body from building a large tolerance. The opiates seem to work best, but even with them I have considerable pain.

Not sure where to go. I've seen doctors and everyone has a different opinion. Any suggestions?

My cholesterol is a bit high and I have tried to eat both the instant and the regular oatmeal for breakfast. There is something about the consistency coupled with the taste that makes me gag after eating less than half of it. I know I could make cookies with it or something like that, but I would like to stay away from high calorie snacks. I have only had this reaction with one other food (V8 juice) and so it really bothers me that I find it so aversive!

A few months back I was violently sick and my ear was never the same. It started with a small fuzzing but is gradually getting worse and it is irritating. It may not necessarily have been through being sick. This could be a coincidence but I believe it started around then.

Any thoughts on what this could be. Will this be permanent or could it be down to something else?

I also have a large build up of wax frequently and have used olive oil in the ear after several doctors recommended this. Could this have something to do with it.

The average Human only employs 10% of their brain power. Yet, look around us and see how much human civilisation has produced by just using 10% of its brain power. All this digital technology and breakthrough in medicine and engineering. Imagine if we used more of our brain power.

How can brain power be boosted???

Reading everyday for at least 1 hour

Fish oil tablets

Regular head massages

Relaxation sessions using classical music.

Any others???

Came across a resolved Q from cenas1gurl_hotstuff and I was so disturbed I went to her profile and read her (many) other questions. She's 11-12, heavy drinker, anorexic, cutter, family problems, kicked out of school, questions about suicide... She doesn't seem to want to take the advice, but she's obviously reaching out for help. Repeatedly. I don't think folks are seeing the pattern. I don't have the answers for her, but want to support her and don't want to sit here helplessly when a young woman's (she's still a kid) in trouble! Can some professional email her and direct her to the appropriate help? Her Answers nickname is her Yahoo email address.

Things in my life are horrible, I have been looking for a job for almost 4 months, I cant seem to hold a relationship, I have no friends or anyone to turn too. Now I am slipping into depression. I was fine two days ago, but how long can you kid your self? Try so hard to stay positive and keep myself busy, but I am slowly losing interests. Dont say I should go to the doctor because you need to have insurance to do so and I dont want to pop any drugs.

Symptoms are outlined as:
Do you feel preoccupied with the internet or on-line services and think about it while off-line?
Do you feel a need to spend more and more time on-line to achieve satisfaction?
Are you unable to control your on-line use?
Do you feel restless or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop your on-line use?
Do you go on-line to escape problems or relieve feelings such as helplessness, guilt, anxiety or depression?
Do you lie to family members or friends to conceal how often and how long you stay on-line?
Do you go through withdrawal when off-line, such as increased depression, moodiness or irritability?
Do you stay on-line longer than originally intended?
Do you feel it's a real issue, if so... how do you feel about people who watch TV from when they arrive home from work until bedtime, spending 7 hrs watching TV,is this any different? Is one better than the other? Why can't it be seen as the same thing, and why all the hype around it?
