find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

That's plenty of time to lose 10-20 pounds.
Watch your caloric intake per day (stay between 1500-1700). What works for me is keeping a food journal. I write down the food I eat and the calories that it contains. I also sometimes write what kind of mood I am in so I can see if there are any patterns.
Then get your cardio in. Do about 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 days a week and some light weight lifting. You should be able to drop weight in no time.

I suggest Jenny Craig. I lost weight very easily, they have great tasting food at a good price. The counselors are a big help. I lost 56 pounds Between July 2005 and Dec 2005 and I have kept it off. even though I am NOT on the program. They do offer a lose 20 pound program for $20.00 from time to time. You will need to buy their foods, but the prices are about the same as the grocery store. I am a retired man in his 70's in case you were wondering

Most people attempt to lose weight by restricting calories alone. I was at an eating disorders conference where the presenter showed research illustrating that the number one predictor of weight gain is dieting. That tells you that most folks end up failing miserably at restricting as the sole means of losing.
You almost certainly have to exercise. Generally exercise adherence is abhorent. Most people quit after a week or two. I suggest starting with something you are likely to not burn out on. That may be walking for forty minutes each evening or it may mean something more intensive. If it is too painful in the short term you almost certainly will not follow through with it over the long term.

Do you eat sugar? Cutting out refined sugar can be really effective. Excess sugar in the body is stored as fat. Dont do the low-fat thing because those products usually have more added sugar. And exercise! This will work!

Don't mess with cleansing , pillls and all that invasive stuff. Cleansing can ruin the liver. Not good, and cleansing is just delusional. Eat what you do everyday, but cut back 500 calories. It is easy. After 4 weeks you will drop 4 pounds then one pound per week after that. I cannot warn you enough about cleansing. Please , please do not do that.. Your liver is sensitive to that.. It is very unnatural even tho people claim it is natural. Think about it..
