You might want to go to a dermatologist -- it sounds like you may have a severe case of something called "livedo reticularis", which comes about in people who tend towards allergies, and which has to do with constriction of blood vessels in the skin of the palms. It can vary from completely not noticeable to very annoying. It could also be "dishydrotic eczema", another skin condition commonly found in people with allergies, which can be treated. I would recommend going to see a dermatologist to see if either of these is the case, or if there is something else going on, and to see what can be done about it! Good luck!

My question to you is what do you do for a living and what are your hobbies? My first thought was a possible reaction to latex. Latex can be found in a lot more than just gloves. I would pay attention to everything you come into contact with. If it is a reaction to latex, it can get worse the more you come into contact with it (just like an allergy to anything else). I believe that you need to see your doctor for allergy testing and maybe a prescription for a topical steroid cream. In the meantime, try an over the counter hydrocortisone cream (generic brands are fine) and possibly an oral antihistamine such as Benadryl. Just be careful as it can make you sleepy. Best of luck to you. Make sure you call for an appointment soon!

Hi I get s similar reaction and I dont know what causes it either, with mine there like little red raised on the tops of my hands and I get them on my fingers also, some times there worse that others sometimes they itch like mad and sting, and other times they just come up not red up pink little dots.
I use to get them on my knees and ankles I used to blame sitting on grass, and walking through grass
But the thing is I am no where near grass anymore and I get them still.
They seem to come up when it gets sunny or hot weather.
I went to the doctors and he just said I had an allergic reaction and gave my some emuvate which works but takes ages to get rid of them.
I think I have found out what it is and the only thing different I have used is Dove soap and last time we had a bar on the sink and I can out in a rash I was blaming my hair serum as it seems like anything oily I touch like baby oil, suntan spary oil brings them out.
But as I have not been using out with any oil in it cant be that.
The only thing I can think iof is dermatitis caused by sweating. My fiance had something similar to that as he is allergic to plasters.
But all he got given was some allergy tablets, but the thing is with mine I already take allergy tables eveyday and these dont work for me so I just apply emuvate if there really painfull sometimes they come up and they dont hurt.
So if you have changed the soap you have used or washing up liquid, shampoo or conditioner this could be the cause of it.

Do you have a problem with your nerves...over anxious about something?
I had the same symptoms when I was young and I went to the doctor several times and ended up in the dermatologist's office. After quizzing me, he said it was most likely my nerves! He explained that the nerve endings are in you hands and fingers, and that is a very likely place to have an outbreak. He said lots of people have rashes and such, but when he sees a person with hands like mine were, most times it is a nerve disorder. Well, I learned to stop worrying so much about certain things and after calming myself down, it went away, but it was not overnight! So go to a dermatologist and find the cause and cure!

sounds like what my daughter had when she was 3. Doctor said it was contact dermatitis caused by touching something she was allergic to. turns out that the nursery had some new plants which the kids had been learning about which shed touched. doctor gave her steroid cream which did clean her hands up but made her nails fall off. now that was disgusting. they did grow back though lol. you need to keep a careful eye on what youre touching which is going to be hard seeing as you use your hands all day but eventually youll find out what it is. washing powder isnt a possibility as if it were an allergy to that it would be your whole body affected by it. hope you find it though.

Have you been to the hospital and been tested for every day things? They do a scratch test to show what your allergic to! You could ask for one and say washing powder soap shampoo cotton things like that, best way to find out! Keep some anti histamine with you at all times! take one when you get a flare up!

A lot of people here are giving very helpful answers to your question but I really think you should go to see a dermatologist, they are doctors specialized in skin.
I used to get something similar and still get it in the summer, my dermatologist said it was due to perspiration. do you have sweaty hands?
My spots were very similar to what you describe and really itchy and of course when you scratch a lot the skin starts to come off.
Good luck to you

Maybe it is not an allergic reaction. It could be caused by stress or an undiagnosed condition or illness.
If MDs can't help, try ND or NMD.
Good Luck!
(ND = Naturopathic Doctor)
(NMD = Natural Medical Doctor)
