I haven't been feeling very well lately. I did start taking Vitamin D a short while ago and since I also take several medications, I was wondering if maybe the vitamin was causing me to be unwell. I take high blood pressure meds, also cholesterol, thyroid, beta blockers, diabetic medication. Thanks for your help.

I have a bill from a consult with a doctor's assistant. I had to talk to this person before the doctor would decide if he would take my case or not. I never talked to the doc, but they are billing me 200.00 for something I could have filled out myself on paper. This person just asked questions and wrote down my answers. Then after the visit was over, they decided to tell me they didn't accept my insurance.

Isn't there a way to refuse payment?

I was prescribed Plaquenil for Discoud Lupus. I have been taking it for a week now. One of the side affects is color blindness and other eye problems. I woke up this morning to blurry vision and not being able to get my eyes to focus properly. Should I be concerned?

My husband is 34 yrs old & had a testicular ultrasound after seeing our PP because of pain he began feeling. On physical exam he found a lump & put him on Cipro but sent him for an u/s just to be safe. He sees a urologist on Tuesday because of the findings on u/s. Here is what the u/s report reads:

Findings: There is bilateral testicular flow. The testicles are slightly inhomogeneous in appearance. No focal mass lesion is seen in the testicle. In the right lower scrotum there is an area of masslike density which on ultrasound exam appears to be separate from the testicle. This measures approximately 1 cm in diameter and reportedly is the area of palpable abnormality as demonstrated by the patient. This is a solid lesion of uncertain etiology. It does not appear to be within the right testicle but is in the right scrotal area. There are changes on the left suggesting a left varcocele.

Summary:

1. 1 cm mass lower medial right scrotum
2. Left testicular varcocele
3. Mild inhomogeneity of testicles without focal mass

What are the possibilites of a solid lesion in the scrotum? The u/s tech said it's on the wall of the testicle. What can this be since it's not infections and what can we expect at this appointment-what ?'s should we ask? No tumor markers checked-CBC showed AST was high at 51 (range 0-40) and uric acid high at 8.5 (2.4-8.2)…he does suffer w/gout.

My entire family is going to be flying to a wedding in Hawaii in a few months. It's going to be really neat w/ a wedding on the beach and the entire family spending the weekend at a nice resort. I live in Georgia so that's a pretty good ways away. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of flying, just the thought of it makes my stomach hurt. I've been seeing a doctor about this but it really hasn't helped that much. I'm not afraid of heights I'm just scared to death of the thought of the plane crashing. I even keep having nightmares about it. Has anyone else been able to beat the fear of flying and if so how? I hate to be the only family member not there =(

My brother has just got tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears). Because I am going on holiday in two hours and do not have time to look it up, does anyone else suffer from it, and how do they get around it. His doctor told him that there is not a cure, but it is driving him crazy. Any help would be gratefully excepted.

My antiperspirant deodorant says that it's safe for daily use? So, can I use it in the morning and before sleeping?

Some people said that using antiperspirant twice a day can darken your skin. Is it true?

Alot of people recommend that I take anti-depressants because my depression is extreme but I'm not so sure I can trust them. There have been many warnings about serious side-effects that may make my suicidal thoughts far more intense (as they cannot get more frequent as they are).

Is this distrust justified?

Lately I have been waking with sinus headaches, always behind the left eye. They only happen when I sleep. I'll sit up for about a half hour and they eventually go away. I rarely get them, but lately I've had them for about a week straight. Is there any way to prevent them before going to bed?

I was not gone to post no more questions on this subject because my only reason for asking just died. Id like to know WHY there is VERY LITTLE awarness on CYSTIC FIBROSIS when 1 out of 25 people carry the gene both parents have to carry the gene to pass it on and the odds of that are increasing every day. WHY are they still so focused on cancer and diabeties when there are cures for most types of cancer and with diet and some might have to take insilin you can live a fairly normal life. With CF there is NO CURE, you struggle to breath, without meds you become malnurished and even with meds maintaining weight is hard, even having kids of their own is a chalenge and with most males impossible. They say the average life exspectancy is 27 some live longer however many are lucky to reach their teen years. There is no quality of life because you spend most of it in and out off the hospital at the drs taking breathing treatments some have tube feeds, ect. SO WHY IS CF IGNORED??????????????????

I have surgery on the 28/05 for my endometriosis... I was doing this for the pain and also to try and concieve... in the meantime I've found out I'm not protected against Rubella.

I'm working out if I can get the Rubella shot tomorrow and still have the surgery in 10 days time. Will this be in my system and cause anything to go wrong in surgery?

Thanks for the input.

My GP recently prescribed 10 mg. Lexapro for chronic anxiety/panic disorder. I decided to surf the net for feedback (not a good idea for someone with an anxiety disorder) for "Lex," and found lots of negative information.

Anyone out there in cyberspace, willing to share your personal experiences with "Lex?" I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks in advance.

I am going to dental school and really am having a hard time seeing why it would matter if someone had Adderall or another stimulant in them while working on patients. I took some from a friend because I am not ADHD and she works in a pharmacy. I can totally control my hands etc. I don't shake when I take it. I feel fine, just better able to focus. Wouldn't this actually be a good thing? What is wrong with this?

First of all, I got my first period 2 years ago and have yet to have a regular cycle.

Last summer, I went 4 whole months with no sign of a period at all.

last week, I had a very heavy period that lasted 4 days

this week, I thought I had my period, but it was really light and stopped after a day.

I run a few times a week, but not very much, and my BMI is 19.5 ish.. What could be the cause?

I'm a freak, super freak, I'm super freaky!! I have been suffering terribly from this uncurable disease. Paid doctors lots of money to tell me nothing is wrong. I cant push myself to make it through a 40 hour work week anymore. My body hurts sooo bad, my headaches, and I am exhausted after a short time. I have tried antidepressants, and have been using vicodin for pain. I am desparate for help. No one understands what I am going through, I look like a fool. Has anyone been where I am and has anyone found relief?
