Lately I have been waking with sinus headaches, always behind the left eye. They only happen when I sleep. I'll sit up for about a half hour and they eventually go away. I rarely get them, but lately I've had them for about a week straight. Is there any way to prevent them before going to bed?

go buy a humidifier. Walgreen's ultrasonic one is the BEST! I use it in my bedroom myself. I used to get the same headaches, but they stopped when I got the humidifier. They're only 30.00 so it's worth the risk just to see if it helps you.

I have this problem too. I think it has to do with proper drainage of the sinus cavity. It might help you to try sleeping in a more upright position. I have about five pillows I use to help me sleep propped up while supporting my neck and back. Also, the weather could be a factor. I get them more often during the allergy seasons - spring or fall, or when the atmospheric pressure changes during a thunderstorm. I hope this helps you.

Go to a health food store and buy some Tei Fu. It comes in a tiny little bottle, but works miracles. BEfore bed, put a drop on your finger and rub under your nostrils. You will feel an immediate decongestion. That will last through the night. It has a kind of spicy vapor rub almost smell, but trust me, you get so used to it. Price should be between 8-12.00

Maybe you should try sleeping with a humidifier. It sounds like it could have something to do with your allergies. You could put a little vicks in it and that should help alot. Hope that helps because waking up with a headache every night sounds frustrating. Good Luck!

Try placing a cool steam vaporizer by your bed at night. That will put moisture in the air?? I have done this in the past and it has helped me!!
Try spraying some sinex nasal spray . This will help keeping the nasal passages open at night. Do not use it though if you have high blood pressure.
Good Luck

You slept all of Saturday and woke up on Sunday. This is "possibly" what might have happened.
