My 3 year old broke her leg a month ago...the doctor said she would be in the cast for 4 weeks since little kids heal really quickly, monday we went to get it off and it hadnt healed as well as he had hoped. her leg was in a cast all the way up to her thigh with her knee bent and her foot pointed downward. Now he recasted it to a short cast and it is under her knee and her foot is flat he wants her in it for another 2 weeks. What would cause it to not heal as fast as expected? I thought this was really weird since it wasnt a complete fracture and there were no complications. Any ideas?

I want to strictly cut any type of sugars. I prefer tropicana pure premium orange juice. when I check the ingredients, it contains 22gms of sugar. I am wondering if it is good for health or not. is it natural sugar or added one? Even if it is natural is it good to drink daily when I want to cut sugars? any suggestions plz.....

My tonsils have be swollen for a week now but they aren't sore nor do I have a fever so I don't think this is strep throat. They seem to have a white color to them and also the back of my tounge. The only difficulties I'm having is breathing at night (sometimes in the day), fatiuge, headachs, and mild chest pains, oh and difficulty swallowing but not cause of soreness because they are so big it's hard to get food down. I'm not sure what this is, so does anyone have an idea? and if so any over-the-counter meds I can take?

My ears feel like they are stopped up, and I don't know if it is from taking Methodone. I have chronic pain that is why the Doc gave it to me. Also, my left knee (inside knee cap) has been hurtin with anything I do. This just started Sat. nite. I can't bend it too much or go up/down steps without sever pain. What could be the cause of this. I think I have some type of arthritis* because of all this pain. I am seeing a Long Term Pain Mangement Doctor for my right hip and had an injection this month (nerve blocker) in my lower back..grrr ..I am 45 and feel like I am falling to pieces.
Only serious answers please. I don't need any smart remarks from anyone. This is serious to me. Thank you, and GOD bless.

I have multiple sclerosis so my memory is somewhat challenged but am very educated... the short term memory piece has been very challenged but I continue to push on and experiment with different avenues to help me memorize things, etc. My life is very full with life but have had the disease for ~ 28yrs. total

I have a small fracture (non-displaced) across the base of my pinky finger. The Dr said to wait 7 weeks(4 weeks splint, 3 weeks exercises) before playing hockey again. This seems a little extreme, and I'm guessing she has to give the worst case scenario. I've known lots of people who have played with these types of injuries after a few weeks. Is playing 3 weeks after this type of injury too soon? 4? Is there a good way to tell?

Water Retention making me mad!?
I have a swollen body especially my legs and stomach its distended and looks like im pregnant. I also have swollen glands around my neck buts it not that easy to see any more. I have anorexia and could this water retenion be contributed by dehydration and how long will it take to go? I have been admitted to hospital and I have staretd to drink for the past 3-4 months already.

please my husband orally my jaw gets locked up. I have had this problem all my life with eating and such. I went to a dentist to have some work done and my jaw actually locked open. Does anyone have any advice or tips to fix this problem or what it is?

I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder, and recently my doctor has prescribed me Klonopin, 1mg tablets 4 times a day. It seems to really be helping with my anxiety disorder, but, I just wanted to know if anyone else has taken this medication, and if it has caused them to gain weight. I'm on Weight Watchers right now, and I'm losing 1-4 lbs per week. I know that's the healthy way to go but I've got 30 more I want to loose and don't want to take that long. I took my 5 year old to the doctor 2 weeks ago because she had a fever that kept popping up and was extremely tired, the doctor tested her for strep, flu, UTI, and mono..turns out it was a UTI. I took her in yesterday and the doc said she wanted to test her thyroid that it could be part of the reason shes always so tired. They said the test wont be back for a week. What would it mean if she did have an underactive thyroid, I know that it does run in my family but I dont know anything about it. Id appreciate any advice. Thanks
