A friend told me it's a fungus. What could it be, and how can I get rid of it?

It's possible that you have Rosacea, a skin condition that tends to be aggravated by anything that produces heat inside your body - sun, spices, hot food/beverages, emotions and so on. Try to keep your body cool by drinking cool lemonade with a little bit of honey in it (no table sugar).

But really try to engage in a good skin care routine: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Try to use products that are non-irritating, and gentle such as Aveeno and Eucerine. Don't rub your face too much. Also, taking flaxseed oil everyday should help (1-2 TBSP).

Best of all, visit a good dermatologist, if possible.

Could it be heat rash? See a deramatologist. If it comes and go quickly be sure to take a picture to show the doctor. A fungus usually doesn't come and go.

i doubt its a fungus. in fact it sounds like something i get in the heat or if i am stressed or anxious etc. i think yana is spot on with her answer. however, im not sure if it can be cured or not.
