A blood test can test a person's liver enzymes- if they are borderline high, she could be suffering from something, such as an infection or hepatitis or even diabetes. Is she overweight? That can sometimes lead to a condition called "fatty liver". Borderline liver enzymes usually aren't a big concern, you'll just have to have her tested again in a month or so to see if there's been a change- sometimes the high number can just be a fluke. As for bordeline bone, I'm not sure what would be tested for in the bone through a blood test- maybe white blood cells or platelets?? Low white blood cells would mean her immune system was compromised. It's best to talk to the doctor (if you can get him on the phone!) to explain to you what this really means.

Good luck.

I am surprised that your doctor hasn't discussed this with you. When a borderline test comes back, your doctor will usually arrange for another test to be done a week or two later. Don't think the worst, I have had borderline test results only to be back to normal a week later but clearly, if there is a problem, this needs to be sorted. Go back to your GP.

Why are you asking us? We are laypeople here. Ask the doctor who ordered the tests to explain and interpret them for you. That's what you pay him/her for, after all.
