that he is taking hydrocodone? I told him they are in the same class of drugs but did not know if a drug test can tell the difference or if he will just test positive for opiates and n explain it away by showing the hydrocodone RX.

He has to take them for chronic back pain-he has had several back surgeries but still lives with daily pain. He had forgotten to take his pain medication to work with him and one of his coworkers had a percocet that he gave him so he would not have to leave and come home to get his meds. He definitely does not abuse them but must rely on them, along with other methods, to be able to function with all the pain he has.

If it's a regular drug test from his employer, he will be tested for cocaine, marijuana, opiates, and I think alcohol. They won't be able to tell the difference. HOwever, pain management docs usually give a random drug test that tests for specific drugs and the levels of them in the patient's urine to ensure they aren't selling their pills or taking other pills not prescribed by the pain doc. Mine does that. So he would just not want tot ake anymore of the Percocet.

No problem it will just come up as a opiate! Thats it. He all good for sure. If they wanted too I am sure they could tell the difference or even the strength but that would be very very expensive and not be 100% accurate.

Depends on what you mean by "pass a drug test". He will test positive for opiates. Why is he taking pills not prescribed to him?

no, he can't pass a drug test. Unfortunatly I learned all about pills (pain and other types) and that they will be able to detect the med in his system. The only pill that I know of that cannot be detected is soma. They have to run a special test for that one. hope this helped you out.

First - When is he being tested ? If he only took one I wouldn't sweat it. If I was him I would take my Vicodin right a way. Remember you have to have a certain amount in your urine to be considered a positive and oxycodone gets out of your system pretty quickly. So don't stress.
