Health - 16 March 2007

I bent my toe back, it's a little swollen now, not it much pain uless i walk on it, it's not excrusiating uless i bend it towards the bottom of my foot. Is it a sprain or did I just pull it? what should i do to stop the pain? I dont think i should go to the doctor, not much they could do right?

you will store fat, instead of losing it? I knew a guy who ate like one cracker a day and lose a lot of weight (he was 400lbs) in MONTHS, not years. And i had a female friend who ate 200 calories per day, going from 220lbs to 116lbs in months, not years.

Two days ago I had a persistant verruca dug out by my doctor, unfortunately its in an awkward place on my foot so I am finding i'm unable to walk on that foot,and it still bleeds now and again which I presume is normal. I redressed the wound yesterday with a gauze dressing not a plaster and it looks clean, has anyone else had a severe verruca removed in this way, if so, how long approximately did it take to heal (or at least to the stage where you could walk) Its very tricky having a bath(any tips greatly received) i'm using some wood to rest it on at the moment while I have a wash. I'm hopping around on one leg and its getting very tiring, I'm also not sure if i'm supposed to redress it every day or every other day (to avoid making my senstive skin surrounding it sore) My doctor and the nurses didn't tell me what to expect etc but to be fair they were more concerned about me getting home before the general anesthetic wore off, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

So i have found myself almost completely consumed with anxiety most of the time..im always wondering why people are looking at me, what peopl are talking about, and what the people behind me are doing.. if a friend of mine goes more than a few hours with out calling me back i wonder what i've done wrong and if someones in a bad mood i assume it me..iMy heart starts raceing any i cant sit still and my palms sweat...its crazy..!its almost umbearable i cant even go to the movies because the whole time i wonder what the people behind me are doing....could there be a reason for this......and is there anything i can do to try and control it

Focus your mind really hard on something and tense your chest and your heart beats quicker and hey presto adrenaline rush. I can only do it for a few seconds but it works for me, wakes me up. It’s hard to explain but has anyone else ever tried this? Haha, no I haven’t lost it!

My diet plan for overwieght americans would be for each overweight american only to swallow every other bit of food and with the bites that are not swallowed spit the chewed up food into a plastic bag. Then send the plastic bags of chewed food to 3rd world countries for the people there to eat. This might also be especially good for people who are so hungry and weak that they can't chew on their own because the food would already be chewed for them. But even if they were stron enough to chew they would still get the nutritan out of the food. Fat americans would only get 50% of the calories but 100% of the taste of their food. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

i have really terrible allergies (horses,cats,dust) and i dont knowe if i want to go throught the extremely long and irritating process of allergy shots!!so do they really work? and im taking allegra but it doesnt seem to work neither do things like claritin or nose sprays

I've been doing cardio at least 3-4 x's a week and doing a little resistance training as well. I have 14 weeks left till the dreaded family beach vacation. I've been on a healthy diet plan as well. I just started this excercise/diet program at the end of Feb. I've just started loosing weight around my middle which is where it usualy comes off but I've never had thin or toned thighs. That goes for my arms too. It seems to run in my family but I'm determined to do anything I can to change this unfortunate family "heirloom".

I have been having chest pain for about 2 days now right in between my breasts and I am now feeling it in my back between my shoulder blades, today I also have a headache in the back of my head and into my neck. I have not strained myself physically and I am only in my early 30s, I do not feel like I am having a heart attack, (I don't think it would last for two and a half days if that were the case) any ideas?
