I have been having chest pain for about 2 days now right in between my breasts and I am now feeling it in my back between my shoulder blades, today I also have a headache in the back of my head and into my neck. I have not strained myself physically and I am only in my early 30s, I do not feel like I am having a heart attack, (I don't think it would last for two and a half days if that were the case) any ideas? I don't want to go to the doctors and cry wolf, but it is starting to concern me a bit.

I just think if it was a heart attack that the symptoms would not last for this long. Of course if I knew what a heart attack felt like, I wouldn't be asking.

The chest pain started prior to the headache. The headache just started this morning, the chest pain has been present since Wed.

Hi, don't be alarmed you are certainly not having a heart attack or a myocardial infarction, as medicos, say. If you were having a heart attack, you would certainly know it, you would have a severe, heavy crushing pain smack bang in the middle of your chest which may radiate to the neck & jaw area and into the arms, more so the left arm. You would also go a deathly white colour and sweat profusely as well as having shortness of breath there may also be nausea & vomiting. If you have any of these symptoms, you should seek medical advice ASAP, but you do not mention these, so I am assuming you are not experiencing them, which means you are at an extremely low risk of having a heart attack.
I often suffer with the same headaches that you are describing, particularly whilst driving, they are severe tension headaches, which start at the back of the scalp/head area and eventually lead down into the nape of the neck and into the shoulder blades, the neck & shoulder blades feel so tight and the neck feels like it could do with a great big crack to loosen it. There is also a throbbing headache to boot. The uncomfortableness you feel in the chest is due to the tension of the back part of the body being effected thereby causing tension in the chest region. These headaches are also caused by stress & anxiety, though we may not feel stressed or anxious, our bodies actually are and it is the body's way of telling us to relax and rest. I do find drinking a lot of water during these times tends to ease the headache and tension away as you are rehydrating the circularatory system.
I hope this eases your mind in relation to the heart attack business.

It could be a lot of things. Some common causes muscle pain, indigestion, arrythmia, angina, heart attack, etc. It is impossible to give your specific information online without knowing more (when did it start, does anything else make it worse, how would you rate it out of 10, what is your age, gender, medical history, medications, etc) If you really are concerned, go to the ER or find a walk in clinic.

This could be severe, but probably isn't. Have you ever heard of rib subluxation? Does it hurt more when you breath in?
You should go to your doctor of chiropractic to determine your problem. He/She will then decide if this is a chiropractic or medical case and come up with a treatment plan if it's a chiropractic case.
This will probably be very helpful! I've had rib subluxation and they hurt!!!

Get to your doctor, at least he/she will be able to rule out the possibility of a heart attack. You don't feel right you wouldn't be crying wolf.

Go the your Doctor! If it hurts when you breathe in you could possibly have an upper respiratory infection.

Go to the doctor. You might be having a heart attack. What do you mean you don't "feel" like you are having a heart attack? You know how it feels??
