I seem to be losing an unusual amount of hair... I am a 22-year-old female, no history of female baldness in my family. I have noticed two small bald patches on my head. They are not noticeable to anyone unless I point them out. What could be the cause of this?

I made a dr's appointment for later today... just wondering what could cause this.

Last night the left side of my stomach hurt when I was sitting up, and went all the way through to my back, and when I was laying down I felt nauseous, but the pain would go away in my stomach after a while. If it is an ulcer, what can I do to make it go away on my own, or do I need to go see a doctor-I don't really want to though, because I feel like I waste their time. If you have any ideas please help me! I'm afraid of vomitting, and I don't want it to get to that point.

i get nosebleeds hour later i eat something spicy.
i dont know if its just coincidence that i get nosebleeds, but on days i dont eat spicy foods, i do not get nosebleeds

I own a Pro Form 585S Treadmill. One of the unique aspects of my treadmill is that it has a thin acrylic sheet between the belt and the deck. Well recently the acrylic sheet developed a few bubbles which caused the belt to make a lot of unnecessary noise when I walk over the bubbles. I sanded the bubbles down but because the acrylic is supposed to stay smooth, it made the problem worse. Now the deck is very smooth and very hard and seems like the perfect service for a treadmill belt to slide over. Should I remove the acrylic sheet?

I'm being bullied at school. It's all because im "supposedly" gay, even though im not. Although i act it. It doesnt mean i am.
I get the **** taken out of me every day by some person. Sometimes the same people, sometimes people ive never spoken to before. I go to a school where doing anything unlike what everyone else is doing is not accepted. So you end up with a bunch of chavs that all talk the same, walk the same etc.
I have never considered it actual bullying but it sometimes gets to the point where ill sit in class and not work and just think about it and i dont want it to end up affecting my work as i am doing GCSE's at the minute. I have no self confidence and i can never pluck up the courage to tell my head of year.
Please no simple minded answers like "Dry your eyes" or "Punch them in the balls"

Another question from me.. okay I have like long lines of medical illness, I had asthma it disapeared, I have tourettes syndrome and a possible mild form of cerebal palsy and just when everything seems medicated and under control I'm getting these sharp pains on the right side of my chest. My hearts obviously on the left side of my chest, and I don't want to make a big deal out of nothing - I mean I practically live at the doctors so I don't want to mention it if it's not important. Two weeks ago I switched my medicine up to a higher dose, I have to see what its called, but it lowers my blood pressure and keeps down my ticks from my tourettes. Anayway the pains are right under my breasts, about near my ribs, on the left side of my body. Their like when your heart hits really hard but almost worse like getting quickly stabbed then healed. I had two yesterday and one today and each time I yelped or something when it happened.Today I had a dizzy spell but that's probably from my medicine

hey im going to see phychiarist soon, but im kinda scared, mainly that shel put me in hospital, i no it sounds silly cos im not mad , i have depession/ anxiety but im stilll scared. From peoples experiences how much should you let a phychairist know for example should you tell them if you self harm. im young so my mum will probly come in with me. but id like to know how other people get along with phychairists, and what would you have to be suffering from to be put in a mental hospital.

My 15 year old sister has had chronic migranes for a year now and has been to multiple doctors, been on many different medications, and has MRI tests done. She is having trouble with blurry vision that comes and goes and occationally complains of muscle aches. Does anyone know a possible reason for these symptoms? The doctors were looking mainly for abnormalities in the brain like tumors and such but found nothing.

I am a 27 non smoking/non drinking female. It all started with a ear ache about 6 weeks ago followed by a sore throat about 2 weeks later. I went to the e.r. with severe pain in my neck, coughing up blood, and ear pain. They checked me for strep which was neg. and sent me home with a 10 day antib. I called my reg. dr. in tears because it hurt to hold my head up. He called me in rx pain med and saw me the next day. He said he thought it was viral and we would treat the symptoms. It seems I have only gotten worse. 4+ weeks now and I still have the sore throat and ear pain but now have difficulty swallowing and talking and have the feeling of something stuck down in throat. Also I have developed 8 painless swollen lymph nodes in my neck and now 1 in my clavical. The first ones have gotten a little bigger as they seem to spread. Each one starts pea size then gets a little bigger. I have not had any fever at any time during all of this. Also I have lost 42 pounds in the last 4 months.

Ok so recently i've noticed my discharge looking abnormal.. It's yellow and thick. I also itch quite badly too. I've reseached this on the internet, and it said it was most probably a yeast infection. I'd like to hear from somebody with the same problem who can tell me how to treat it. The site mentioned some vaginal creams but im unsure which ones would work? Zenna xx
