I seem to be losing an unusual amount of hair... I am a 22-year-old female, no history of female baldness in my family. I have noticed two small bald patches on my head. They are not noticeable to anyone unless I point them out. What could be the cause of this?

I made a dr's appointment for later today... just wondering what could cause this.

I was taking an antidepressant, but stopped because I thought I was pregnant. Actually, I am still unsure if I'm pregnant... I missed my last period, but three home pregnancy tests have shown negative results.

Adding things up, I think this might be kind of serious. Missed period, hair loss... maybe something is up with my thyroid or something?

Definitely stressed... I have a four-month-old baby, a called-off wedding, and my father was just diagnosed with a rare cancer.

I'm not sure if we have the same problem, but my hair falls out when I get split ends and need a trim.

Wait for your doctor. He/she might know. Just wait until the appointment.
