Another question from me.. okay I have like long lines of medical illness, I had asthma it disapeared, I have tourettes syndrome and a possible mild form of cerebal palsy and just when everything seems medicated and under control I'm getting these sharp pains on the right side of my chest. My hearts obviously on the left side of my chest, and I don't want to make a big deal out of nothing - I mean I practically live at the doctors so I don't want to mention it if it's not important. Two weeks ago I switched my medicine up to a higher dose, I have to see what its called, but it lowers my blood pressure and keeps down my ticks from my tourettes. Anayway the pains are right under my breasts, about near my ribs, on the left side of my body. Their like when your heart hits really hard but almost worse like getting quickly stabbed then healed. I had two yesterday and one today and each time I yelped or something when it happened.Today I had a dizzy spell but that's probably from my medicine

So do I need to mention this? Which I don't want to do at all. Or is there a way to keep me from yelping because it sounds stupid, and looks weird when I grab my ribs :\

I also get really bad chest pains on occasion and also have never mentioned it to my doctor, but when i read your story i had to respond because i too have mild asthma and tourettes. I am on zyrtec for allergies, and risperdal for my tourettes. Maybe theres some kind of connection there. The pain i get is a really sharp stabbing pain that usually only lasts a few seconds but is very painful and its right under my breast on the right side. If you find anything else about it I would like to hear more. please email me at sea_sher@yahoo.com. Good luck with your health problems.

I do not know if this will help - Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, (if this does not do it you probably need a chiropractor as well) you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

It could also be a problem with your Large intestine. I had chest pain they said it was a problem with my large intestine because of a blockage in the intestines. It also could be that. That also causes the dizzy spells.
