what are ways i can effectively do biofeedback without buying tons of equipment. i know that i can check my pulse, but what are some other things i can do?

My mom, 51, just saw a podiatrist this afternoon who told her that one of the joints in her toe (next to the big one) is bone on bone, which is causing serious discomfort. The Dr. put her on a mega dose of Motrin for a week to see if that would help the pain, etc. But she said there's really nothing that will make it better. It's just part of arthritis and will only get worse as she ages. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what can be done about it? Is toe joint replacement an option? Cock's comb injections? Cortisone?

My father woke up one day with pain in all his joints out of no where. his hands, kneew, back, toes etc. won't flex and are inflammed and sore is it arthritis, gout, etc?

I know this sounds strange but I believe that I if I was a lot skinnier (I wear anywhere from 40-36, but not a 36 in jeans), I would have maybe a frame like mayer, I'm a guitar player and I just like his whole image.

I'm just curious to see. How many years of smoking(in most cases) can kill a male? I know someone who is 40 and has been smoking since he was 11... that's 29 years, I believe. I'm curious to see. Please let me know- especially you health specialists.

And no- this is not a joke. This is serious, and I am very scared for this person... Please help.

i have been dieting and exercising for more than 3 months but the only part my body that seems to be losing weight is my face . i now have a very thin face but the rest of my body is more or less just the same(size 12). i want to loose my body fat and not loose any more face fat(i have hollow cheecks) can anyone help me out i am nearly losing hope of ever becoming a size 10. i will be extreamly greatful if anyone can help me reach my goal(size10).THANKS

Did you have to have all of your good teeth pulled to get the dentures? If you did, did the dentist actually put you out under anesthetic, or was it done with just a local novocain shot?

Messed up!?
i was with my friend nancy. she is 55 and im 15. i had to spit out my icecream cuz i had too much in my mouth. the icecream was so good that i stuffed my face. her window was open and i spit it pass her and she caught my spit with her mouth and gulped it. eww! i asked her why and she said she didn't want it to ruin her car. she said that the spit tasted good. i swear she is over obsessive about her 50,000 car. she risked her life for that car!then she ate some flags. they are green and silky. it's 100 grams of protein for one flag. she put six in her mouth at once. her mouth looked like she swallowed two people. one flag was hanging out of her mouth and it looked like she had a beard. i pulled the flag off of her chin and i heard something pop really loud! what was that? her jaw cracking? then she immediatley pulled over and started to cough and gag really loud. was she choking? i saw five piles of green slime. then she left and continued to drive. what's that all about?

Err, for over a year now I'm having this yellow discharge in my underwear, and I've been noticing for the past few months that it smells (not terribly bad, but it has an odor to it). My mom keeps saying that I'm not wiping myself good enough (and she is noticing that I smell a little bit), but as I was looking through the boards, I guess it's a yeast infection. Is it normal for a 12 year old (almost 13) to have a yeast infection ???

I've been smelling this odor on me even on the days that I don't have my period, and I think it's coming from the yellow stuff in my underwear. I even put clear deodorant on my pants to make it go away, but within a few hours the odor is back. I shower every single morning, and I don't sweat too much either. I try hard not to smell. -_-

So should I tell my doctor about this ? And is it okay if a 12 year old to have a yeast infection (if it is one) ???

I have been having outbreaks of blisters and itchy patches on my legs and stomach and feet for about 3 weeks. It comes and goes and after the itching is gone, it leaves a bruise. What is it? Does anyone know of a site where i can list my symptoms and get a free diagnosis online?
